I know what you mean 5029tom, Ive cycled from Okamption railway station to Meldon Quarry and along the way their were a lot of vandalized class 37's and one or two 47's their I wonder where they all went to.
thumpergriddle123 I know you put this up 5 years ago. Just seen this video. But I think your find it’s a Berkshire unit and it’s a class 207. You can tell this by the windows they are smaller than a Hampshire unit.
@@richeyrich234 You're right about it being a Berkshire unit, there are only four bays in the saloon in the Motor coach. It is still a Class 205, though. The Class 207 units were known as Oxted unis and could be recognised by a more rounded cab with recessed jumper cable housings.

Why do so many preserved railways look like a scene from Steptoe and Son? They acquire all this stock and then leave it to rot

Wouldn't be surprised, taking up space and completely vandalized mist likely not worth the time, money and effort to put them back into service.
