The reason the LCD got so hot is because the LEDs inside the Screen on the side are connected directly to the power supply. You can see them before they melt the layers in between the LCD and turns black.
The fact it can work on 2.3-10v means there is likely a 5v regulator somewhere on the board. Either that or all the chips have huge voltage tolerances.
2:10:55 How is simple. After overdriving the voltage of the LEDs inside the LCD for so long they eventually start to fail. The reason it turned black is because the liquid crystal got too hot, once the resistors inside the LCD that drive the backlight LEDs burnt out; the resistance lowered causing it to cool down and the Liquid crystal started working again.
I don't understand much .Around 2:11:00 ,he increases the voltage to around 11 volts but he screen doesn't get hot at all .Why is that ?we saw smoke coming out at some point .What changed that made the screen less hot even at higher voltages ? thanks !

The fact that it still runs at that low of voltage without shutting down means that it has no battery management. Very unsafe using a lithium battery that way.
You need to get yourself an external oscillator, you can get them pretty easily

I wonder if pressing the RESET button causes the power circuit to shut off for a split second to reset the CPU and that caused high voltage to nuke the CPU

Lithium battery NOMINAL voltage is 3.7v. Fully charged is 4.2v and fully dead is 2.5v. So, to double the voltage of the battery, you have to go to 8.4v.

I got one as a lol crap handheld at Walmart and was curious of how bad it was. The dragon snake game was fun except I swear the pixels were misaligned. Which if the screen was supposed to be in portrait mode that make sense of having some difficulty play the game. Really mad the Fantasy game which is a rip of I believe it was a FF game and it's unplayable. It's glitched so bad.

On the tv it's B&W Colour the issue is your tv is on 50Hz PAL Colour system unless if you set to auto it going to check the it's pal or NTSC or SCEAM
