• Luciano Pavarotti sing...
No synth. No vocoder. No auto-tune. Just pure human with a set of vocal cords signed by God.
auto-tune?!?! are you joking. this is another sport.
and that's not perfect. that's opera for americans.
Puccini? Opera for Americans? Come on...
Nobody does Nessun Dorma like Pavarotti. He owns it. Legend and such a treasure to have experienced his beautiful voice.
Have you ever heard Jussi Björling? He was an incredible tenor, also the one that Pavarotti said he admired.
He is indeed a legendary singer with a outstanding voice but he isn't the best but he is a very good second best. Dimash is a more talented singer that can sing perfect live. Has perfect mic/breath control. Sings with emotion and is a story teller. Can switch perfect between 7 octaves. He has is multi talented. He can sing any music genre and can sing in over 15 languages. He plays over 7 instruments and can dance. And he is still only 28.
@@miafranlund6982 : I prefer Jussi, Luciano was a magnificent tenor, but there was just something magical about Bjorling, crystal clarity, vibrancy and tone!
Well I am from Germany, one of my best friends is from Modena. He invited me 15 yrs ago to come and see Pavarotti. I ddnt go since my football team played that weekend. Today I like to slap my younger seöf for that
@@miafranlund6982 Yes! Amazing talent! What a blessing to live with technology to listen to both artists whenever we wish!
Pavarotti got emotional because he knew it was the best performance of his career and the best rendition of this masterpiece by any singer ever.
One of the best performances of all time. Cool that you’re watching this.
Omg I agree. So glad you are doing this Nick!
It is truly amazing.
@@thomasgoodisson8877 It sure is!
Could listen to this song all day. Fantastic
His voice is almost not human. It will give you chills. This is why he is considered the best.
And he didn't even have the decency to make it look hard ❤. Perfection
Hahaha!! Exactly! Luciano made it look effortless! He was the greatest.
Pavarotti is arguably the GREATEST tenor to ever grace a stage. You don’t even know what the lyrics are to know what you’re supposed to feel. If you listen to this and don’t end with chills you have no pulse!
Bellissima la tua reazione!! Grazie!!!❤
This means so much to me personally. This was my Mums favourite song and as I held her hand in the hospital as the passed away this song came on the radio as she left this earth and moved on.
Thank you. ❤ Holly Granger xX
Do try Dmitry Hvorostovsky Kak molody my byli.
Subtitles for Pavarotti?? I’ve seen this 100’s of times and never felt the need to know what he’s singing. It’s pure emotion.
Chills and hair on the back on my neck stood up. Powerful voice.
Oh bless. My father was an Australian returned serviceman from world war 2. He was born in 1922 and he adored this version of this song- I have such treasured memories of my Aussie Dadda listening to this Italian music with tears in his eyes 🥺🥺
This is an amazing Performance of an Aria, he always did well. He knew it.
One of the best things that have ever been sung, in history. Full stop! Woww. Glad you reached to this man.
Agree 💯 Chris 😊
It seems like this song was written and made for this guy.
That man is the only tenor that gives me goosebumps all over me. There is that emotion inside him and in his voice that always resonates. RiP Luciano❤🙏🏻
I was so fortunate to see Pavarotti live. Just brilliant. Nothing else to say ❤
Truly one of the most gifted tenors in history
7:39 I have always said it, but when he finishes that brilliant note and gets that look on his face, I swear he saw God in that moment. Every time I see this part it gives me chills, the look of wonder, surprise and almost confusion in his eyes. No one will ever convince me that he didn't see God in that moment. Simply brilliant!
Watching reactions to people seeing and hearing this for the first time never fail to move me. Reminds me of the power of music.
WHen opera singers of Pavarotti's level have a vocally off night they cancel the performance and the audience are fine with it. It's a whole different level of vocal perfectionism.
Nick, you've just witnessed the best of the best.
I get goosebumps every single time. You are correct; Aretha filled in for Pavarotti last minute; very few people in the world can do that.
The best tenor of all time. It was wonderful to see your reaction to the final notes, it is an emotional performance.
Magnificent! Many say Pavarotti was the greatest tenor the world has known and Nessun Dorma was his aria. I've seen many others try, but no one has ever been able to match Luciano Pavarotti's power and epic stage presence. His performance here gives everyone chills.❤
"Nessun Dorma" is a classic. It is a song I think Luciano Pavarotti put on the map. Once he sang it, then all singers wanted to do it, but no one does it as well as he did. Im glad you did this genre of music as well. Makes me love your channel even more. 👍
@@Spo-Dee-O-Dee I recommend you to watch the three Samoan opera singers who are Sol3 Mio, Pene Pati (also on UA-cam as Darren Pene Pati), Amitai Pati, both tenors, and their cousin Moses Mackay, a baritone. Their families moved to New Zealand and their high school music teacher recognised their talent. They later went to Wales on scholarships and graduated with a Master’s degree in Opera Singing. Dame Malvina Major, the retired NZ soprano, sang with Luciano Pavarotti in London early in his career and is on record saying that she can hear the young Pavarotti in Pene Pati’s voice. The two brothers sing “Nessun Dorma” on the Sol3 Mio channel but it’s just the recording from their album. Pene sings the first half and Amitai the second half. A live version is on their concert DVD. There’s a separate video of Pene singing “Nessun Dorma” and “La donna e mobile” where you can hear why his voice now reminds more than a few of us of Pavarotti. Apart from his opera singing Moses Mackay also composes and sings crossover songs. His newest ones on the Moses Mackay YT channel deserve recognition - “Some Sorta Sensation” and “Embers Of Fire”. The latter song really shows off his operatic talent. They’re from his new album “Grace”. He also plays piano, double bass and guitar. Both the Pati brothers play piano and guitar. They’re introducing a whole new generation to opera which is great to see.
It’s an aria from Turandot written by Puccini. In my opinion one of his saddest opera’s but so so beautiful.
I saw this the same year it came out and I still get chills hearing his voice today The greatest tenor ever.
I knew someone who was training in voice. He said a major rule is to always stay in character until the music ends (not when you are done singing). He does this to perfection
Nick - if you ever get the chance to study classical voice, Please do ! You have a gorgeous baritone and you’re so musical!
Nessun Dorma means “ no one sleeps “ because the Chinese princess will execute the whole town if he doesn’t guess the answers to three riddles correctly. Fairytale! !
I always recommend CARMEN for new opera goers. It’s highly melodic, rhythmical and sexy! You know themes from it- especially the Toreador song. A must watch!!
My first opera experience was the Muppets doing the Habanera 😂❤
Viiiinceeeeròòòòò! :D
I think this is one of the only songs that whenever i hear it, i well up.
Nessun Dorma ( "no one sleeps") is an aria from Puccini's opera "Turandot", sung by all the great ( and near great ) opera stars (male and female)........this is probably the most moving rendition of all....R.I.P., Maestro Pavarotti.......
Yeah he really lives this song and feels and makes you feel all of this. Pavarotti is incredibly good. Going to the opera, at least once, is great. I'm not really an opera fan, but we went once last year and it was great!
The song's title means 'no-one sleeps': the princess ordered the village to remain awake all night to discover the identity of the person Pavarotti is playing.
The Charismatic Voice did a great reaction of this performance and goes into great detail about everything. She also said that he had trouble at first, quit for a while before rising to stardom.
My vocal coach has me sing an aria for the development of my voice :-)
“I can’t see him having a pitch issue” 😂 He’s Pavarotti, he maybe had a pitch issue aged 6. One of the greatest tenors ever
His voice is almost ANGELIC! If the ascent into heaven has a sound to it… This is exactly what I envision it to sound like!
Due parole: Unico e inimitabile.
Brilliant reaction to the Brilliant Pavarotti..thanks James love from London❤ 🇬🇧
One of the greatest voices in history.
Legend
I'm actually surprised it took you this long to discover Pav!
I grew up (I'm not a singer by any means) absolutely LOVING this bloke the the Tenors. Like you said, he is absolutely perfect - you cannot fault him.
I’ve never got through that song without getting goose bumps!❤
Thanks for sharing this aria from Turandot. I had the pleasure and privilege to see Pavarotti perform in Sydney many years ago. Real life goose bumps. I’ve been an opera fan ever since.
@@Spo-Dee-O-Dee no only Pavarotti
Just gives you chills, a Masters performance . Loved
The greatest
I fell in love with this version of the aria, then fell in love with it again when Rob & Austin did their version( which you also reviewed); hope all is going well with you; take care, stay safe , peace & hugs. ❤️❤️🥰🥰🤗🤗☮️☮️🎼🎼
Rob and Austin were amazing singing this.
Absolutely no one can dislike this :) amazing voice. My babies used to go to sleep playing 3 Tenors CD :)
king of opera !! amazing master Luciano
Indeed, as you said, the VOICE of the Great Master Luciano PAVAROTTI it is "IMMACULATE".
This is a LOVE song for a WOMAN ... sung by a MAN in love.
The Great Maestro named LUCIANO PAVAROTTI had this incredible ability to touched your SOUL.... using his exceptional VOICE. He usually touched and vibrate the souls of the HUMANS who heard his arias...... and even the ANGELS stopped in fascination just to listen to this miracle voice of a MAN.
First time understanding what he was singing about, thanks to you. ....from Ireland. And it was so much more moving.
great reaction i was at the performance of this with my father and cherish the memory
Great reaction to a great singer and song xx
Love that you can appreciate this music!!
He sold insurance and was a school teacher in his hometown of Modena, Italy. He studied music for 6 years before singing in public. He also said he suffered from stage fright that never left him. He sang in Central Park in New York before 500,000 people. Not bad for an opera singer.
I have actually seen The 3 tenors live in concert in Gothenburg in 1996. That was one of the best experiences ever. And I heard the lovely Pavarotti sing Nessun Dorma live. ❤ Pavarotti had the most beautiful and iconic tenor voice of them all. It was (and is) just magical.
I saw him live in london, he touches your sole, unforgettable.
So happy to have witnessed your hearing this for the first time. LP is a masterclass in technique..
Telling my age! I had the honor of seeing him live, he was and will always be amazing!
Non ci sono più parole per definirlo!...
One of the best!!!!❤
I'm proud of you for listening to this Great Man....we were lucky growing up to have so many different genres to listen too....
You're one of the only one to remember that Aretha Franklin sang this because Pavarotti had asked her to do it. I think she had only 30 minutes until she went on....
There is hope for the next generation to hear Great music. I'm subscribing now to your channel!
You are true grit….thank you
Me encanta tu reaccion. Desde Spain Thanks
Goosebumps every time
I always think there is hope for humanity when I listen to this..That humans can imagine it, write it, produce and sing it...we are capable of great things
He was old here but still kills any other opera singer in history
How about Mario Lanza in movies and a nine year old girl who won HOLLANDS GOT TALENT with it, Amira Willighagen. Enrico Caruso had passed away by then.
@@Spo-Dee-O-Dee : I prefer Jussi Björling.
As others have said this holds memories of others too. My dad passed away a few months ago and he used to be an amateur operatic singer who terrified me as a kid belting this out around the house full throatedly. Brings a tear to my eye. They are expensive things to go watch, and a lot of rich toffs go usually but it’s well worth going in person if ever the opportunity arises to feel the music shaking your whole body not just through headphones.
Magnifique!
Big Luciano! ❤🇮🇹
I loved seeing how much you appreciate the genre and feeling😊
Ultimate love for you!
Try Caruso and Mario Lanza. Also, check out Rob and Austin's (from Home Free) version of Nessun Dorma. :)
My uncle was Mario’s first vocal coach.
Mario Lanza was wonderful. Pure emotion and an untouchable voice. THE best ever. Pavarotti was miles behind him.
SEMPLICEMENTE LA MIGLIOR INTERPRETAZIONE DI SEMPRE.
❤❤ Pavarotti ❤❤
He was the absolute best ever.
GOAT..................................................................!!!!
Love to ear reactions from Mars!
Man, watching you react to his changes was awesome. Your appreciation, and ability to understand the magnificence of he was able to do with his voice was obvious.
Oh gosh you need to watch "Vesti la giubba" from pavarotti !
So intense and emotional...
Everybody cry! 😢
Thank you for this reaction. Possibly the definitive performance of the deepest soul touching songs of all time.
I'm so glad you experienced the shiver Pavarotti sends through you singing this.
...I would go too. My, favs are Luciano Pavarotti, Andre Bocceli, and Mario Lanza. Their persona alone would be enough to see🤩...PEACE👍☝️✨🤓
I can cry every time I hear it.
Goosebumps
Opera singers are truly special.
Opera singing mostly requires A LOT OF WORK to reach such level of proficiency. Added to natural talent you reach absolute perfection.
Luciano Pavarotti was one of the best - if not "the" best" - tenors of his generation.
Proud of you!!!!!
Keep expanding your horizons!!!! You feel the music..... Keep feeling.
Wow! I was wondering if you would ever get around to viewing this performance! SWEET!
Sincerity and passion! Bravo Luciano!
The best!!!
The show here is watching to you guy ! It's so delightful to see a young man like you discovering the best opera singer of all the times !!! 😃And yes, the chills for me too, once again ! Let me tell you something more, little funny : Searching and hearing Nessun Dorma by Pavarotti, youtube offered me others versions, like Amira Villigaghen and Emanne Beasha, young singers singing that (listen to them please !), but a few time after, with this, youtube proposed me Angelina Jordan !!! So thank you Luciano, I have now Angelina in my heart for the rest of my life ! 😍
You should do Luciano Pavarotti. Panis Angelicus.
To me, Pavarotti sang w-the most passion & emotion than any other male opera singer & that’s why i think he was the best.
His performance of "Nessun Dorma" at the Winter Olympics is spectacular!!! Loved your reaction!!!🎵🎼🎶🎤🎙🎸🎹🥁🔥
This song takes me back to Italia 90 world cup. The soundtrack of that tournament.
Showing my age with that comment
I'm so pleased you watched this. Your beautiful eyes showed your appreciation. Pavarotti was older here but still magnificent.
Another song that makes me cry every time. 👍❤🤙
Luciano Pavarotti orgoglio italiano
The maestro goes viral - in my wilderst dream I never would thought that 😂
I think for some this is live changing ❤
Love from Austria/Europe 🇦🇹
Pavarotti performed this role in the opera "Turandot" many times. In this concert, at the end of this song when he sings "I will win, I will win, I will win", his facial expressions are part of that role, he is acting. I watch a lot of operas on UA-cam, many with English subtitles so you know what it's about. If you're new to opera, start with the lighter, comical operas like The Barber of Seville (Rossini) or The Marriage of Figaro (Mozart). Carmen is a big fan favorite, also Madame Butterfly and LaTraviata, though all 3 have sad endings.
