Last week I picked up a 10850K full system with a 3080 ti for 400 and a 3600 system with 1660S for $100(ok those kinds of deals are rare), but yesterday I got a 5900x system with no GPU for $300. These are the kinds of deal you can get if you pay attention and are just a little patient. If these guys are paying the prices they show off in these videos.....
Their are finds on the cheap,Toastys scour Ebay and exploit this simple fact on a regular basis, they beat others to the great deals and flip them, frankly, I'd never buy their flips
I got an MSI 1060 6GB about a month ago for 35€. It had a faulty fan so I bought a new pair from eBay for another 10€. After 20-30 minutes of cleaning and replacing the fans it's like new an for a total of 45€ I have a very decent backup GPU. Some of my friends/colleagues up until last summer would have wished to have a GPU like the 1060 6GB
I like the blower fan models of gpu's. Probably not the most efficient head wise, but definitely cool looking imo. I rocked a PNY GTX1060 for years before replacing it with a RX6800. Now its on display above my monitor.
Or maybe you got an old office pc for free with a 6th gen i7. Slap an ssd and a 1060 in there and you'd be surprised how well it performs for very cheap.
GPU for 69 bucks is definitely nice buy. I have my 6GB GTX1060 ever since I built my first PC in 2016. It's a beast but it's showing it's age already. The PC still serves me well as high power TV stick for watching movies and playing indie games. Steam link works much better on it as well.

im personally more of an rx 580 fan, especially since you can still get a brand new XFX one for 110-130 with warranty and for around 80 used. a little more vram to top and plays kindly with older hardware
I have a 3050 6gb card pci slot powered ..think the advantage over the 1060 will be the ray tracing abilities. Clock speed is practically the same . My son runs it his 9th gen system and the graphical clarity beats out my 2060 card on some titles. original ps3 architecture ran at 500 mhz with 256mb of vRam, i would assume this graphics card could handle any of your emulation needs regarding ps3/360.
The 1060 is still a great card; if not for me upgrading to an ultrawide 1440p monitor for simracing over a year ago, I still would've kept my 1060 that I got in 2017 till this day
I currently the evga model of this card in my optiplex with a i5 6500 runs well. I only paid 42 dollars for it so it was a great deal as im only interested in easier games like ats ets gta 5 and beam ng drive

Buying online is a risk always. A working GPU can get damaged in shipping. But if you're buying from a good seller with shipping experience you'll be just fine. I took a risk with an rx580 4gb for $45 plus tax and fees. Seller shipped it in a bubble mailer and I'm surprised the board didn't snap in shipping. Bracket came in bent but that was simple fix. Card is 100% working. I would recommend you buy from someone you can communicate with. Ask good questions. When was the last time the card was used? What games did you play on it? How much fps did you pull? If seller can't answer those questions I would walk away. Also buying on a platform that allows returns is a must. Don't buy as is.
What are you asking? How to check if it works right? how to check if it's the correct GPU? how to install it? just play games on it or run a benchmark just like they do..
driver wise, that gpu is several years dead, and it can't handle demanding AAA games at fluid (above 60fps) 1080p gaming, not to mention no DLSS or ray tracing.. better save a little more and buy an RX 580
I have a mobile 1660TI Med settings 1080p I get 60-80FPS on BO6 can get more if I turn everything down and off Fortnite is weird always get big drops but usually 90-120fps avg
The 1060 is on par with 1660/1660 Super. ❌ The 1060 is on par with 1650 Super. ✅ Dude you can get a RX580 8GB which is on par with a GTX 1060 but has more RAM for the same price. You should only be buying either if your on a strict budget.
you can get 1070's on ebay for ~75, and 1080's for ~90, i would have gone with a 1070 just for the extra 2 gb of vram the pc build is hilarious, everything is bulky and the gpu is the only part out of place, its understandable though to see the gpu bottleneck
The problem with the 1060 is that the 1070 and 1080 exists

YES! My favorite GPU. I am on a mission to personally test every GTX1060 in existence. I am not even 50% complete. I have yet to try the OEM one.

I love the Gtx 1060 for flips, in Australia they’re quite cheap, around 60 Aud (37 usd) for a 3gb and 70 for a 6GB

I have an ASUS GTX 1060 6GB Turbo paired with an i7 8700k. It's not the best combination but it works for me.

Its not a good gpu for $70, you can find gtx 1070s around that if you look hard enough, $80 may get you a gtx 1070 ti and $90 may snag you a gtx 1080

The gtx 1060 6gb was a great 1080 when it was released.. 8 1/2yrs ago. Time moves on. I'd say the gtx 1070ti is the minimum spec card to buy used now.
