There is literally no genre he can't do. I saw this song in it's very first performance in November 2019, in person, in China. It was otherworldly, and electric. I walked out of that concert like I'd had a spiritual epiphany. He is simply mesmerizing. He's got another concert coming up in a couple days and it will likely be up on UA-cam shortly thereafter, go check it out. Or watch the last on, in HeFei. The light show visuals alone are the most impressive you will ever see, but every song performed is so beautifully delivered. Thanks for watching him!
He can't sing opera. Hua is a unique and highly creative artist. His voice is good and with variance of color as well as powerful...but he is not classically trained. Which is just fine for what he does. John is right about his metal capabilities. He's had enough coaching to know how not to ruin his vocal cords.

I think if he needed to he could access a very classical sounding voice. There is a lot of depth, breadth and some impressive breath and pressure management in all his big rock bangers. John asks, "how many voices does he have?" Um...yes, all of the voices, lol. If David Draiman can sing classically and then turn around and deliver a Disturbed song, I think HCY is just as capable. One specific performance comes to mind, about 2/3rd through a piece on a competitive singer show, that was a medley of songs from a musical drama in China, "Perhaps Love", The last portion he belted some phrases like Placido Domingo and I about fainted.

HuaHua is on a tier all his own! I started liking him before I ever listened to BTS. He has a very sad back story, which I think is responsible for him totally immersing himself in music. If you notice, he is living in the song he is performing. Watch his face closely, and you can actually see him come out of the performance. It is amazing to watch. You would love his yearly Mars concerts. Unfortunately, he only leaves them up for a short period of time, then removes them. But I am sure you might be able to find bit and pieces from fancams. He did a great show a few years ago- I am sorry I can’t remember the name. It is on Chinese Tv. But he and 3 other singers are challenged by their protégés- for lack of a better word, and each are given a song(usually an awful, or very complicated song). They have to redo the song, and perform it the next night on the show. They have less than 24 hours to learn it, rewrite it, compose new music for it, and be ready to perform it. That is where he shines, and proves his musical genius. Please check out Dad I’m Home - for this one, I think you can only find it now on channels by reactors, but it is so worth it! Yes.. New Year Concert. 😂 He was living each personality. This is my favourite version (as he takes his songs and mixes them up). He is a mix of Freddie Mercury, Matt Bellamy. David Bowie, George Michael, Axel Rose, Steven Tyler and... Elton John. 😂 His hair was short because of a self imposed forfeit. Fans complained it was too hard to get an online ticket. He said it was easy, and then.. failed to get a ticket to his own Concert. 🤣 Next we knew he put up a Selfie of himself.. with shaved head, as an apology. 😱 His live performances are without doubt the best I've ever seen, and that includes Freddie Mercury. He has been a voice for those with Depression, asking people to be kind to them. He also advocates for saving the Planet (check his anti Bullfighting song.. "Bullfighting").

Most of these Asian songs seem to have a story to tell. Hua is able to then perform to the lyrics, not just sing them. The songs from him or Zhou Shen or Dimash seem to last 6 minutes or so. It was surprising when I listened to Kenshi Yonezu, a popular Japanese singer, with his recent song, Red Out (a week old and 3 million views) only run a little over 2 minutes long. It felt really short by comparison.
Songs of 2 to 3 minutes are the current norm and a line that runs in a loop, nothing interesting, just mainstream music intended to make views and money.

Most of these Asian songs seem to have a story to tell. Hua is able to then perform to the lyrics, not just sing them. The songs from him or Zhou Shen or Dimash seem to last 6 minutes or so. It was surprising when I listened to Kenshi Yonezu, a popular Japanese singer, with his recent song, Red Out (a week old and 3 million views) only run a little over 2 minutes long. It felt really short by comparison.
Songs of 2 to 3 minutes are the current norm and a line that runs in a loop, nothing interesting, just mainstream music intended to make views and money.

He is a genius
Now almost everyone in the world knows WuKong from the game Black Myth : Wu Kong. Hua Chenyu composed two songs about Wukong, one is Qi Tian official MV(“Wu Hong” movie theme song), it is amazing. Another is Great Sage Equal to Heaven, he composed it in 24 hours. Hope you could react them 💕
