    My Mom bought me a back scratcher over ten years ago. To date it has been the best practical gift I've ever been given. Lovely pages and I enjoyed watching your process!

    I loved seeing glimpses of your days in among your journaling… and that aesthetic with your stickers is really lovely x

      Thank you so much, Jean! And of course I have to feature Lucy occasionally!

    I really enjoyed hearing some of the thought processes behind how you journal, when, and especially why. I can have a lot of fun journaling about my thoughts and observations, but I'm just not consistent about to do lists. I tend to keep to do lists in my head, even though it's so satisfying to check them off when they're done. I do keep a commonplace book that I add things to only when I'm inspired to, and I'm trying to write down what I do each day at work, so I'm not stumped when I have to fill in those ridiculous self-evaluations and list my "accomplishments." All involve using my fountain pens and inks, which keeps it fun.

      You listed something that I actually need to do - I need to write down my day to day for work in my Weeks, so I can look back and list "accomplishments" when it comes to the year end! The daily spread is like a brain dump for me - I feel that as I get older, it helps me to keep track of what we have done. Otherwise, my brain would be all over the place!

    My habit tracking is done on the week view in my Hobonichi Cousin. I track in the bottom 1/3 my hydration, the left side bible study, and spending across the top 1/4 of the whole spread.

    I love that you don’t cover up the quotes! I think the monochrome is great!

    My 2023 daily companion is the Hobonichi A6, a tiny space so I have to be very intentional with my entries. Keeping in mind that I'd want to spark memories when I read past entries, I try to write a question on each page such as "What heartfelt moment happened today?" or "What caused strong emotions today?" and I'll usually have the answer already that sparked the question, so questions vary. I may put a special photo, limit the stickers, hold off on pre-decorating future pages (very hard to do and takes willpower), add a relevant quote, etc. I ask myself, will this page express my mood, capture highs and lows, and convey what was on my mind? I think about finding this planner/journal somewhere and reading entries that tell a story.

      @@KarynaLovesToPlan Aww thank you! I think planners/journalers evolve and eventually want to run away from monotonous soulless entries.

      I really like that thought of keeping entries intentional and not writing everything lol I use a journal where I pretty much write when there's a lot that happened but it always ends up me expanding the same thing over and over again 😂 but this year I thought of combining my planner and journal together so Iam using my daily planner as half to do list/schedule and a major half as a journal to write about any specific things that happened or how I felt and Iam using the format TheCoffeeMonsterzco uses. I like that I don't end up blabbering a lot because I have done that a lot and now I don't read those entries because I find them boring lol
      But I still have a separate journal if I have to vent or rant or if there's any gossip 🤭 or something very private that I can't write in my planner

    You have got THE cutest little pupper! So cute when you're walking and she stops and looks up at you...awww! I can't wait until I can get home where I have all of my stuff. I just don't feel like I can/want to get into all of my planners and journals until I have ALL of my stuff around. I broke my leg several months ago and what I thought was going to be a pretty straightforward thing has turned into a nightmare. Bottom line right now is, I can't walk. At all. I don't really know what the future holds, where home will be in the future. So I do some brain dump type journaling with the few things I had a friend bring from home. I figure I can tape and/or tip it in later. I had such a good plan for this year, too! I very intentionally wrote down what I was going to use each book for and then ordered them. Ugh...the best-laid plans! It's really fun for me to watch you play; thanks for sharing!

    I can’t wait to get the kits in the mail and be able to use my pen that is inked up with Opera Rose. 😊
    I also was thinking of using one that has a grayish ink. I think that would be really pretty. I use my daily pages for just journaling. Every once in a while To Do’s when I have a lot, but mainly journal.

    Hi Karyna, I used to do habit trackers with my bullet journal. That was a fun time, but I always found it very unnerving at the end of every month to come up with ideas on how to set up the whole theme for the next month, so I've started using the hobonichi and still figuring out how I want to use and decorate it. I still want to habit track! Great to see how you do it in your planner!
    Edit: I have that creepy back scratcher too! Haha! !

    • @KarynaLovesToPlan
      @KarynaLovesToPlan  Рік тому +1

      That is way too funny that you have the same back scratcher. As for habit tracking, it became intimidating for me wanting to have perfect looking trackers like in some other people's journals. But then I realized my goal is to just start and to do the habits as often as I can. I'm not perfect, so my tracker is definitely not going to be!

    I tried habit tracking but I just couldn’t make it a habit. When journaling, sometimes I turn the book and write in different directions, just because. I’m seriously thinking of adding the five year journal to my line up.

      Kathleen, I love that idea of turning the book. I think I saw that on someone's IG and thought it was such a great design aesthetic!

    Im really tired of people just using stickers and washi in their journals. Looking for more people to use watercolors and writing only but this was cool too

    • @KarynaLovesToPlan
      @KarynaLovesToPlan  Рік тому +1

      Thanks for the thoughtful comment. Not sure why you feel the need to say you are tired of people using stickers and washi, as everyone is entitled to do what they prefer in their own journals. I still love using stickers and washi and will continue to do so. I did paint in my journal using fountain pen inks and am actually showing that video tomorrow.
