    Great find! I've seen catfishes like these before in books, but to see them shoal around like a ball like that is pretty amazing.

    Freshwater catfish fry are equally, freakishly, and awesomely capable of appearing like a school of adult catfish if there is nothing to give accurate perspective. When I was a kid I would capture a couple dozen each year and care for them for a month or so in a 50gal tank before releasing them back to the creek. Even at 1/4" they were exact copies of their parents and were mesmerizing to watch. I never tired of them, I could watch them school all day.

    My cousins caught me a bunch of these while we were night fishing and I told them they saved me so much money if I bought them at the pet store and they were a big ball of poison which made me laugh. I honestly which they’d caught me more as I want to accumulate a large school of them.
