Via Wikipedia: In vocal jazz, scat singing is vocal improvisation with wordless vocables, nonsense syllables or without words at all. In scat singing, the singer improvises melodies and rhythms using the voice as an instrument rather than a speaking medium. The Shabadabadia is the "scat" part of Heartless Scat. The "Heartless" part I would assume, is simply the main lyrical body of the song and its meaning.

I know this video's from a while ago, but I'd just like to say that I believe "scat" in the song title is referring to like jazz scat, like "bada da, doot doot doo, shana na" you know stuff like that. You usually hear Jack Black in Tenacious D say stuff like that in his music.
i finally fullfilled my dream for the last 20 years and got myself a driverslicense and a wonderful bmw motorcycle. i know, nobody is interested but you asked for infos ^^
Shabadabadium or whatever it was he said is in actuality scatting old jazz musicians used to do it. So does Jonathan Davis from Korn it doesn't actually have a meaning it's random sounds.. but you can fact check me on that I may be wrong on it having meaning.
If you would listen to some more Ningen Isu songs you would quicky notice they dont play 1,2 or 3 genres like most of bands, but they do songs in around 10 or so genres of rock and metal, you have, Heavy Metal, Hard Rock, Progressive Rock, Stoner Rock, Doom Metal, Progressive Metal , Psychodelic Rock, Folk Metal and Gothic Rock, those are the most common genres you can hear on their albums. Also related to their clothing, the vocalist dress consists of motifs that where worn by literary masters of the Meiji Era, the basist is dressing up as a Buddhist Monk and the drummer dresses up as a japanese gangster which got him the nickname Aniki, which means big brother.
Guitarist Shinji "Wazzy" Wajima is dressed as a Meiji era professor.(Late 1800's into the the early 1900's). Bassist Kenichi Suzuki is a death-touched Buddhist monk. Drummer Nobu Nakajima is dressed as a Yakuza. All three can and do sing lead as well, in fact Nobu has a really impressive set of pipes, although he sings lead pretty sparingly. He did one reaction to them awhile back, but definitely needs to do more!
Band-Maid is one of the my favorite bands active today and I want so badly for more people to experience their awesomeness.

Alex, you really should react to more of this guys, they are amazing! Years and years of experience can only result in some amazing music. Most of their music are based on japanese literature and folklore and classic literature in general, they have a couple musics based on Lovecraft stories for example.
the shabadabadia is the scat part comonly used in jazz

Will do brother
Right. Before I watch, let me just say this...
It's about bloody well TIME!!! 😁
Dude. That was sick! I was NOT expecting that
Like many others, this song was recommended to me through youtube out of literally nowhere. I have never been so caught off guard by a song before. Instantly loved the whole vibe. When that Riff at 3:07 kicked in it was game fucking over. I wish I never heard this song, just so I could get that raw reaction from it again.
I get that reaction EVERY time I hear it
Btw what they’re wearing is called a Kimono it’s a traditional Japanese clothing I guess? There’s also a short version of it it’s called Jimbe
Really happy you found these guys and this song! I found them a few months ago and watched the video a bunch lol.
10:03 ALEX: Woah, they're finished! This is freakin' awesome!
10:05 NINGEN ISU: Just joking, the show is not yet over bro 😏
Turn on the captions and listen again it will blow your mind.
Some more great Japanese metal bands to react to:
Maximum the Hormone (japanese System of a Down basically)
Dir en Grey (might not be ready for their videos though)
Crossfaith
The GazettE
9mm Parabellum Bullet
Why should he check dir en grey music videos ? Their true essence reveals itself on live performances ...
@@unwisethefox8808 dude, all did was just give him a heads up
I mean the only video that would be really problematic is Obscure. The videos for Vinushka and older songs are pretty tame in comparison.
Since July I´m at home with health problems and gonna be stuck at home until November. Home, Hospital and if I feel good I go for few hours to the forest, just to enjoy sun, air and to get some positivity to my head.. nothing else I can do now. Thx for your vids bro, helps to put that smile on my face
I'm so glad you found this band, I've been listening to them for the past few months and they're incredibly impressive in their songwriting. This song was my first too because it was in my recommended list.
So this is what Voldemort's doing in his afterlife, he's in a kickass metal band and got a nose for their first gig.
There are so many great Ningen Isu songs out there to react to. I'm glad you stumbled on to them and glad you liked what you heard. They are heavily inspired by Black Sabbeth.
FINALLY!! Been SO looking forward to you reviewing the 2020 music find of the Internet! Ningen Isu is AMAZING!

I just discovered Ningen Isu recently, and I had no idea they were so legendary. They're basically the Japanese Alice In Chains.
I'm happy for you brother!
Instantly clicked this one the second I saw the thumbnail. This band popped up in my feed after listening to BabyMetal for months.
A samurai chooses one ability and commits their life to perfecting it.
Musashi approves this message
A Sensei, a Monk and a Yakuza. Exellent.
I’m fucking digging it! And Alex’s reactions and quips are hilarious but also awesome!
I like Ningen isu a lot bc these guys love metal and you can hear it without understanding a word. Shabadabadia! ☮️
Damn this rocks, love the bass player, he's killin it
Shabadabadium or whatever it was he said is in actuality scatting old jazz musicians used to do it. So does Jonathan Davis from Korn it doesn't actually have a meaning it's random sounds.. but you can fact check me on that I may be wrong on it having meaning.
Please react to The Gazette - Falling (it’s Japanese as well)
If Alex react To The GazettE or some other Visual Kei band i will get bald.
The Gazette - Invisible wall as well please.
Omg yes. Also Derangement! He needs to do the gazette for sure
Ugly song is bad ass too
I am absolutely loving the amount of Japanese music fans in the comments!!!!
If you want to listen to more Japanese metal I suggest Band-Maid, Lovebites, Galneryus.
Riff giving me goosebumps. Yes yes metal for life
