Guitarist Shinji "Wazzy" Wajima is dressed as a Meiji era professor.(Late 1800's into the the early 1900's). Bassist Kenichi Suzuki is a death-touched Buddhist monk. Drummer Nobu Nakajima is dressed as a Yakuza. All three can and do sing lead as well, in fact Nobu has a really impressive set of pipes, although he sings lead pretty sparingly. Most of their songs are about traditional Japanese literature/legends, Buddhist philosophy, and classic horror like HP Lovecraft.

The traditional socks and sandals worn in the video are called tabi and zori, respectively. Zori are made from rice straw or wood and typically worn with kimonos for formal occasions. The tabi are specially made with the split between the big toe and the smaller toes so you can wear the sandal comfortably. Japanese footwear is extremely varied and honestly really cool. I highly recommend you research them if you're interested in acquiring some.

Ningen Isu was known by few outside and even inside Japan but are on the road for 30 years, many albums. Baterist is sick, Vocalist/guitarist shereds the heck out of the guitar. They're legendary! PS: Ken-ichi Suzuki is the best bass player I ever heard. He uses distortions, runs and slides no one does or expects.

Listening to this song today (because UA-cam recommended I listen again) and I saw you did a reaction years ago. I love this song so much and my reaction when I first listened was pretty much the same as yours. I did not expect to like it this much when my friend recommended it and I’m glad you enjoyed it too.
And to answer your question, I am doing pretty good. The Weeknd and Yuki Chiba dropped new songs today so I’m having a good day already. I hope you are also doing well Alex. Have a lovely day ✨✨

Flip Flops, which are a rip off, got popular after Soldiers brought Zoris from the war to the USA, Australia and co.

Most of their music are based on japanese literature and folklore and classic literature in general, they have a couple musics based on Lovecraft stories for example.

Via Wikipedia: In vocal jazz, scat singing is vocal improvisation with wordless vocables, nonsense syllables or without words at all. In scat singing, the singer improvises melodies and rhythms using the voice as an instrument rather than a speaking medium. The Shabadabadia is the "scat" part of Heartless Scat. The "Heartless" part I would assume, is simply the main lyrical body of the song and its meaning.

I know this video's from a while ago, but I'd just like to say that I believe "scat" in the song title is referring to like jazz scat, like "bada da, doot doot doo, shana na" you know stuff like that. You usually hear Jack Black in Tenacious D say stuff like that in his music.

Shabadabadium or whatever it was he said is in actuality scatting old jazz musicians used to do it. So does Jonathan Davis from Korn it doesn't actually have a meaning it's random sounds.. but you can fact check me on that I may be wrong on it having meaning.

If you would listen to some more Ningen Isu songs you would quicky notice they dont play 1,2 or 3 genres like most of bands, but they do songs in around 10 or so genres of rock and metal, you have, Heavy Metal, Hard Rock, Progressive Rock, Stoner Rock, Doom Metal, Progressive Metal , Psychodelic Rock, Folk Metal and Gothic Rock, those are the most common genres you can hear on their albums.
Also related to their clothing, the vocalist dress consists of motifs that where worn by literary masters of the Meiji Era, the basist is dressing up as a Buddhist Monk and the drummer dresses up as a japanese gangster which got him the nickname Aniki, which means big brother.
