Damn i actually bought this 4 years ago and still havent install it lol. Still same design but the sticker labelling design look different now. It's still in my room.
Great review! Appreciate your channel. I am having to move from the garage to the basement and am hoping this will keep the noise and vibration down. Sure looks like it will!
Depends on what kind of bag you are using and how high your ceiling is. I have 8ft. Ceilings and it worked out well. My bag doesn't come with built in straps so I put on my own short straps.
Great video. First law makes extenders for the 140 and 200 Spider mount. They are $50 but make it much easier to install. I'm super cheap but this mount and extenders are well worth it. Carlo will wonder how he went so long without one. These things are insanely useful.
Unfortunately its not supporting the impact very well of my muay thai bag. Our bedroom is above the garage and my wife says its like a loud boom in the whole top floor.
It does imo, because the springs absorb a lot of the rapid movement of the bag and allows it to move smoothly. Rather than kind of the bouncier/ jerkier movements that can put stress on whatever it’s mounted to. It also requires to either mount it to 2 separate trellis OR brace in between so you’re distributing the weight across more.
I have this and i should say these are actually really good.
💯

I’ll take it brother don’t worry
Hey Carlo, what size are the joists in your trellis? I have some type of suspended ceiling and wondering if it can support the mount.

How much space do you need to properly utilise this setup (this bag + mount)? I'd like it for sure but am unsure whether I have enough space

Does this reduce potential damage to your ceiling ?
