This restoration embodied complete electronic and wiring replacement with the new Vintage Vibe Wurlitzer amplifier which offers Variable Vibrato and effects loop. New Alnico speakers have been installed to fully optimize the amplifiers full sound.
The mechanical action has been fully reconditioned and modified with our proprietary hammer/ damper innovation. Most hammer tips have been replaced and each notes strike line optimized.
Cosmetically the lid has been professionally painted with Royal Blue Sparkle metal flake. In doing a proper job the aluminum trim was removed and a new one custom trim installed. New key caps were professionally installed as well as key bushings.

What sort of paint does one use to paint the lid like that?

Every time I hear a Wurli, I cry. I am so moved by this sounds so special. I work on the piano to be able to play so well. Maybe one day I will have a beautiful piano like this ;-)

Nice sound. Unfortunately, the 200's sound moved away from the neat sound of the old 112 and 120 models. I believe the Wurlitzer people must have experienced Rhodes envy (you know, like penis envy). Just one man's opinion.
This sounds much more like my '72 200a - my '69 200 has a lot more growl and bark, and a very noticeable change in tone when you cross the halfway mark on the keyboard - where it goes from soft felt to leather tips on the hammers.
I think that in 'improving' so many parts of this one it seems to have lost what IMHO is the unmistakable and more exciting sound of the earlier, less sophisticated 200. (Reedbar shield excepted)!

It's even better than it sounds!!! It's out the back scrubbing your dishes and ironing your shirts in it's spare time and taking numbers!!! Nice demo, good use of pedal through the key change.
