I COMPLETELY agree that English Medium school interferes with learning. I have done lots of after school tuition with the children of the staff that work at the guesthouse where I live. Their parents insist on sending them to expensive English medium schools although they do not speak English at home. The English textbooks are an an almost insurmountable hurdle that must be overcome just to be able to TRY to comprehend the subject matter found in paragraphs in their textbooks, written in an unknown language, which they are suppose to take home nightly to read. Most of the students can barely read their textbooks! Often they have a vague concept of what they had tried to read from their textbooks. Their teachers pretty much explain things in Hindi but the textbooks are read mechanically and little is extracted. Because there is so little comprehension when they read the English medium textbooks, students can only answer rote questions at the back of the chapter, but if you ask these students to make assumptions and discuss the main ideas they are flummoxed.

ironical because in my school, english was taught since nursery, and the teachers always spoke english (in fact there was actually a rule that you should always speak english, well except the Hindi and later, Sanskrit classes).. Almost everybody in my class had 0 problem with reading and reasoning.. we became so much used to it that we now find it weird to talk to a teacher in Hindi

We have to accept English as Lingua Franca of the country as I can not speak in Hindi as it is not my mother tongue and a Hindi person can not speak with me in Telugu as it is not his/her mother tongue.

India must consider both English and the regional languages with equal concentration. English would be needed to communicate between the states and at international level, on other hand regional languages are needed to communicate with the local people. Both should be taught properly. However, Hindi must not be forced to the Non-Hindi states and English with the regional languages should be adopted as the official languages of the India. In order to do this both the union and state governments must emphasize on learning of English proficiently with significance to the regional languages. This would make India more progressive and the future better. Good luck.

The problem is simple their are too many languages in India and no of us are ready to learn a indian language common to all so languages like English is important for communication between states

And what is the problem? English is maybe the easiest language to learn. So learn it. We should rather not force people outside of north India to learn Hindi as a 3rd language in school it should be only optional. Then students can concentrate more on other more important subjects. Those who know Hindi also want to make themselves more civilized by speaking English, whereas today people abroad are being inspired to learn ancient Indian languages like Sanskrit and Hindi .

All states can have local language as official language and can ensure that all orders and forms are provided in English and Hindi also so that people from other states are not in disadvantageous position. Abolishing English would put people from Southern States of.India in a disadvantageous position which is not acceptable. Any presumption that southern languages are similar to Hindi is not correct and it is only a proposition to create a system where south Indians are treated as second class citizens and hence not acceptable.

Up to 1911 Capital city was Kolkata
In fact Bengalees were found Samskruta Colleges and universities, instead of Bengalee colleges which means Samskruta was Common language of India
After 1911 Capital City was moved to Delhi
Everything changed to Hindi and Imposing Hindi over every state.
If Hindi become National Language
1.Imposition of Hindi will be on 60% of Non Hindi speaking. Remainig 40% are Hindi speaking.
2. Connects to west of india(Afghanistan, Pakistan)
If Samskruta become National language.
1.Imposition will be on 100% of Indians.(This will Satisfy the entire nation)
2. We can Connect to south east nations(mostly from Iran to Indonesia)
Why Hindi should not become National language
1.Hindi is Apabramsha Language.
2. Hindi is Distorting Samskruta language.
3. Samskruta was helped to consolidation of Indian languages. But Hindi is Deconslidating by its Apabramsha nature.
4. South Indian languages are as strong as Samskruta so they don't want Hindi as NL which is effecting to their languages.
5. Rajasthani, Bhojapuri, Gujarati, Marathi were already effected by Hindi.
6. Hind is weak language such that they don't know the difference between (Rha and Dha ex Chandigadh there is no Rha word in any of Indian language we have only Ra), La and Lha(Zha). They use Gya instead of Jna. They distorted Samskruta words while borrowing ex Simha became Sinha, Samskruta became Sanskrit, they don't know where to use n and m.
Everybody should support Samskruta so we can tackle Hindi speaking people in Parliament and PM post will be free from Hindi mandatory.(this line is for Tamilhians to divert them from angry comments 😂). People already Started accepting Sanskrit as National language just to avoid Hatred from South India.
