I really like how it controls the speed with incremental pushes. That would be a BIG help. I have Braun and Qusinart stick blenders but they do not have that feature. Also like the non scratch factor on the bottom, Another Plus. May have to give this one a strong consideration. What about attachments like potatoe masher, whipper etc.
Hi Linda. You are in total of the 5 speeds, which helps you create your ideal textures for every blend. Our specially designed bell guard reduces suction and helps ingredients flow easily through the blades while protecting pots, pans, and your favorite blending containers from scratches.
I feel less educated than before watching the video... I'm in the market for this, and not a single question I had about the product was answered in the video! Good job Vida
Don't feel like the Lone Ranger, I have a Braun, All Metal Shaft, no plastic contact with food. I have been trying to upgrade, my Braun is great, but it just has one speed, but no plastic contact with food. Vitamix has stopped being a company for health nuts.
At this time, the Immersion Blender is available in the US and Canada only. At this time, we do not have a release date for this item to be available for purchase within the UK. The motor underneath lets off a slight smell and it's a little loud ua-cam.com/users/postUgkxCKuMxLnvr6fJd_M4SE-n7trcGj3zEUHq but considering it's size and how hard it works to do the job, it's sort of expected. I assume the smell will go away over time. Overall, I love this cute little blender. The extra cups and lids are great too!
@@VitamixCorporation hi, thank you for answering! Ok, sounds great! I need a blender that I can easily pack for when I travel, because I love eating super healthy no matter where I am, so I can still have smoothies, make salad dressings and soups. Will watch the demos first though... 😚
How timely, I was thinking to get an immersion blender. I miss the stainless steel VM; not very fond of the plastic container. I wonder how noisy this immersion blender is... Trade in?
Hi Roxanne. Vitamix machines meet the regulatory requirements that may be statutory in their country of sale, including sound levels. We do not make specific claims about the sound and decibel levels of our products. We do not offer a trade-in option for the Immersion Blender.
Vitamix used to make health products, if you ever make any products, where the plastic does not come in contact with the food, let me know. For now I'll keep using my one speed Braun with an all metal blade and shaft.
@@VitamixCorporation Thanks, and hopefully you will consider producing a 220 v version. It is not possible to order the big Vitamix from the U.S. to other countries due to heavyweight and expensive parcel fees. But this smaller unit is easily transportable, and people from 220v countries - and there are many of them! - would be able to join the club of Vitamix users!
I’ve paid $100 for immersion blenders that didn’t last 3 years, at least this one has a 3 year warranty, and I know for a fact that even out of warranty Vitamix will make it right. It’s a stand up company.
This product was designed in the U.S. by our team, but in order to achieve the perfect balance of quality and value, this product was manufactured and assembled by one of our international sourcing partners.

This ad is perfect .. I'll have to test the blender LOL
@Vitamix do you plan on selling these in the UK? I can't find a UK version anywhere?

Um your link was to a ninja blender lol
@@2010stoofExactly!! The link is to the Ninja 🤔
They need to show from start to finish, so we can see the process.
Will it be too long?😉
I would love a demo test for toughest greens and seeds....
Hi there! It will pulverize greens and seeds for you. You can check out some demos one of our affiliates made here: spr.ly/6056OjmmC

Will this whip egg whites & whipping cream?
Hi Kathy. It will whip heavy cream just fine however, the blade is still a little too aggressive for egg whites.
Is there a whisk attachment available?
Hi Roni. There are no other attachments available at this time.
You used plastic on the bottom of this, in an area that goes into the food??? It has to be stainless steel !
Is this available in a 220v variant?
I join. 220v please!
Hi there. At this time, it is only available in 120v.

33 sec ago yet comments from 2 years ago with 20k vews??
how do you clean it?
Hi Pat. The detachable shaft is dishwasher safe or you are able to wash by hand!
Easiest way is a cup with a dash of soap and run it on and off like their full size blenders then just rinse.
Love it but it's not new. If there is an update than say an update. Definitely not new though.
Please, don't tell me this immersion blender costs $150 just for having the name Vitamix all over it.
You can bet on it costing a lot for the Vitamix label
