Thanks for the useful information. I have one more question for you. Is it possible to update Frsky receiver firmware from the module bay of this Jumper T16? If it doesn't work, then how?
Hi Lee Does the Multi module support Spektrum telemetry features.. appreciate if you could throw some light on how Jumper T16 would work with spektrum telemetry and AS3X receiver set up
Hi Lee, Just purchased a T16 as your review was very positive. As my DX8 gen1 doesn't support a vario telemetry the T16 looks like a good move etc. I have a FrSky G-RX8 with in built vario/Alt. So I go to bind and set "MULTI - FrSky - D16. Then scroll down to "Bind" press enter and SHOULD get a sub menu 'Telemetry ch1-8 ON, Telemetry ch1-8 OFF' etc. Pressing enter to accept that and then it would bind. So I realised my T16 didn't offer that sub menu during binding, but looking at the (nearly complete) T16 manual - it shows the same sub menu... Don't know why I don't get that option? It did bind the Tx and Rx but could not find "New Sensors" Therefore no telemetry. Do you get that sub menu on your T16 on binding.....? Firmware is 2.2.3 Any suggestions would be much appreciated! Many thanks Andy
Hi.. Thank you for the great updates. I have bought the J T16, but i fear the signal strength comes to question using the 4in1 module, as I am getting continuous "signal loss" feedback. I am old Frsky Taranis fanboy and have not previously suffered signal loss problems using Frsky receivers (only). Am I doing something wrong as i followed all your content on J T16, or would you mind looking at the signal strength of the 4in1 module?
Hey, what firmware was the X8R flashed with?, want to do this setup through the internal 4 in 1 module. Really want my battery voltage telemetry ha ha.
Hi Lee I recently bought one of the 4in1 modules for my X9D+ and after updating the firmware to get the multi protocol feature it works fine. A friend noticed it in my radio and asked if it would work in his old JR 35 mHz radio and I said yes I would think so because you can select the protocol using a rotary switch on the back and his radio sends out PPM. In the instructions it gives the positions of the rotary switch and whether or not the green light should be on or off for each protocol and this where I got stuck. I can't find how to turn the green light off in order to bind with Spectrum or Futaba for instance. In the instructions it say I should select 0 and press the bind button when I initially turn on and this will cycle the green light on and off but it doesn't seem to work. Am I missing something?
Thanks for video, good to see. I ordered an x8r to bind with my T16, but I can't get it to bind at all. I've tried multiple frsky t16 configurations, but without any jumpers. TX software is 2.3.5. could it be the receiver needing flashing?
@@Painless360 is there a way to check what version should be loaded to work with my TX? It was bought in the UK in May, I'd assumed EU would've still been in code.
Hi Lee, you mentioned you'd played with the yappu script with your Jumper T16, question do you use the Horus version because of the colour screen, or continue to use the taranis version? Thx Andy
I'd recommend looking at the series I have for it. There are reports of easily breakable scroll wheels and the OpenTX implementation can be overwhelming for many new pilots.. video on my top radio picks due very soon..
How good are the emulated protocols? I never read how good they are, They are reversed engineered protocols so for the most still different from the original but working, but how good? For those cheap, nearby ‘toys’ I have no problem with it but will you use this on your $1000 model?

Lee, thank you for all your entire channel! Can I install the OpenTX firmware on this radio? There is a problem with the Jumper website so I cant download the JumperTX firmware
Hey, I've got the T16 TX. But I'm not getting any telemetry not even RSSI. My R-XSR is bound and I can see the stick movements in Betaflight. Do you have any idea why?
A related question. Jumper R8 receiver ("fully compatable D16 RX").....conenected to a Taranis x9D. Can the RX output 'Smartport' telemetry and if not what type of Taranis telemetry?? and how to conect it??
D16 Fcc protocol seems to be ok. You have to try (can you try? do you have some lbt rx ? ) D16 Eu-LBT, I've heard that does not work, so...for all europe!
Only thing I've found not to work is the betaflight lua wich does run on the 4 in 1 modules. But the fields do not populate with the betaflight info. But heres the kicker the spi receivers that have to run in D8 mode on XJT run great on D16 full telemetry on the 4 in 1. I run a tiny GPS bn220 on the trashcan in D16 with INav. This is really fun for $150 bux.

Maybe. Try EU and non EU binding.. Best of luck
@@Painless360 thanks Lee, the current firmware is EU LBT (apparently). Do you have a video for flashing them? Via PC/or the T16? Thanks
Yes, check the Radiomaster tx16s and Taranis playlists. Remember that 4in1 modules can talk both FCC and LBT...
