Big reasons why God tell us not to judge others 1. We are sinners. And we judge others for sinning when we sin daily - that's hypocrisy. 2. The people who are down the most needs grace, love, and encouragements. They are so broken down that most people who judge them look down on them and would never approach them. How then will God reach out to them through us if we do not want to connect with them in any way? Very difficult to overcome. Blessed are those who overcame this already.
Questions for all: 1. Ok do people really know they are judged before, eg. John 3:36 ? 2. When Jesus says The Spirit will convict the world of sin. Is that through people as most of the scriptures show, or some personal thing ? 3. When Jesus says judge not last you be judged. Is that about hypocrisy or saying only God judges ? 4. When 1 Cotinthians 6 says to judge, as we will judge the angels. Does that mean we should judge people in the fellowship ? 5. Etc...
1. Yes, they do know that. Noah's time, the people knew they were judged. King David knew he was judged when he sinned against the living God and paid the price. 2. The Spirit refers to the Holy Spirit. Not your spirit; if it was your spirit, it means you can judge. And I don't recall the Scripture talks a lot about personal spirit. Most of the time when it talks about "The Spirit", it is talking about the "Holy Spirit". 3. No, it isn't hypocrisy. The problem lies on "sinners" judging other sinners. GOD cannot sin, for "sinning" is doing something that is against God and His ways. Can God not be Himself? Who in the world gets to decide WHAT IS RIGHT and WHAT IS WRONG? For a gay couple, their ways are okay. For a ped*, their ways are okay For a murderer, their action is JUST and they "have a good reason to" do what they did That's the problem. Everyone JUSTIFIES their ways. I was taught this at a very young age and stopped justifying my faults and actions. Proverbs 21:2 "Every way of a man is right in his own eyes, but the LORD weighs the heart." So who in the world can decide what is right and wrong? Honestly, no one. Because if everyone has that rights, then RIGHT and WRONG will be all over the place. Nazi say they are right in murdering Jews. We say they are wrong. The Bible is clear - MURDER is wrong... but KILLING is okay. Please get that straight: "Thou shalt not commit murder" - which is where the US Law is based on. You kill? You won't be thrown in jail. YOU MURDER, you will be. eg. "First degree murder" 4. 1 Cor 6 refers to the "Saints" judging the world - which refers to those who follows and works for God This occurs AFTER DEATH... not during life. We can criticize others of their sins. We are TOLD to do this or we will bear the punishment for not speaking up to help a brethren fallen astray. We do NOT judge them for we are sinners. When you die and are with God and cleaned by the blood of Christ and have gained all knowledge of past, present, and future... you are no longer a sinner... for your sins are washed away and a sinner cannot be in the presence of God otherwise they die. Also, you are missing the point of 1 cor 6 - which is lawsuit against brethren: "So if you have such cases, why do you lay them before those who have no standing in the church? I say this to your shame" "Can it be that there is no one among you wise enough to settle a dispute between the brothers, but brother goes to law against brother, and that before unbelievers?" If you are morally right and you know it, then you would go to the saints. If you are morally wrong and you know it, but the LAW of the land is on your side, you'd go to the law. It was okay to murder Jews back then... if you go to saints, they will tell you it is wrong to murder. You go to Hitler, and you will be told you are right. Who then would you take your problems to? The Saints or the court of law of men? Have a blessed day. Remember: Seek and you will find Ask and you will receive Knock and it shall be opened for you
