14 years ago, a 16 year old me found a bootleg dvd set in a back alley shop, and after watching the first episode... "Oh crap... I like anime now" was my exact reaction. SPOT ON
I wondered why no other anime was like that, and that's when I discovered that cowboy bebop was the only anime I'd seen not based on a manga. With no source material restricting it, the writers had full creative freedom to do whatever they wanted. That is a very rare thing that you don't see very often. See you cowboy bebop...
@@glendarjj3991 I've only ever seen barely a handful different animes. Cowboy Bebop, Ghost in the shell, ruroni kenshin to name the prominent ones. GITS and Kenshin both had source mangas if im not mistaken. I think it all has to do with how well the anime captures a slice or a vision of a world that resonates with a particular section of the audience. And like most great art, people who arent in that portion of the audience will come to admire the work because of atleast the quality.

I´m german and the german dub is just so perfect. and i hearded that of many dubs of that anime. They put as much effort in good voiceactors as for an ghibli-film for example(maybe even more) At least 40% of ,my admiration of that anime comes from the voices alone . It might even be the best-dubbed thing in existence. (no exaggeration)

A superb Anime made for an international release. Both Japanese and English dubs are excellent though I lean more towards the English dubbing. This show is a masterpiece.

Cowboy Bebop is one of the best anime out there. A classic.
A superb Anime made for an international release. Both Japanese and English dubs are excellent though I lean more towards the English dubbing. This show is a masterpiece.
Fun fact:
The Japanese VAs are agreed that The English Dubs are way better.
