Also gotta remember it’s a lot harder to make power using the HEUI system on the 6.0 vs the CP3 on the Cummins. Nothing against the HEUI, it’s just their aftermarket capability isn’t as good as the CP3. They do their job stock.
a 6.0 is one of the worst god damn trucks out their They blow up and you are always under the god damn hood dude a good ol cummins You just gotta change her oil
Had a 6.0 before my 6.7 cummins and i can say those old 6.0's will get rowdy with a little work. Daily driving give me the 6.0 and towing give me the 6.7
If I want one that can last a life time,I go with the 7.3L. If I want one that can be wicked fast with power,I go with the 6.0L. If I want one with intense and insane torque,I choose the 6.7L.
6.0’s are hell of a lot more fun. But if you want to make it a fair race, use the same years. The outcome will be completely opposite 😂 6.7 PSD’s are stupid fast
@Dunder Mifflin Lmao the Cummins changed alot because all the Garbage Fuel systems and Pcms dodge has and Transmissions might i add everything is garbage is a Dodge besides the engine Block and if it has a Manuel Transmission
Fords are cool, but you should look up firepunk diesel. There are no fords competing on top brothers. Just saying. Tuner only ford. After that cummins. Period.
With all due respect, the 6.0 is 12 yrs older. Also on that boot blowing issue, spray the boots and pipes with breakclean or starting fluid. That will clean all the oil off. No more problems
I actually love both trucks equally...Powerstroke and Cummins have always been my choices when I want torque. The Duramax has always been costly and a downfall of issues in time whenever I dealt with them, the 6.6L is used in the LSSV just like the JLTV.The 6.0L is much more better than the 6.4L,even though both have a identical bore and stroke, and I love the 7.3L.I love the 6.7L from both Ford and Cummins, but I guess I'm old...I'm more into the 6BT and 6CT which are literally found in almost any apparatus.Going back to the LLY-LBZ,the only good engine from G.M. was the 6.2L-6.5L,which make little torque but are great for daily driving however...The Military still use them in the HMMWV.
@@kevinmartin8171 well, not everyone can be on the winning side of a bet 😆 I know what the outcome would be, because I have been there. 2 trucks,a 12 powerstroke vs. a 13 ram, both just had a delete and a performance tune. The ram didn't win. Let's just say it wasn't even very close. Multiple races
Yea,well no kidding. The 6.7 powerstroke does, however, hold the record for the highest hp made on stock components (just a strait pipe and tune) the Cummins makes slightly more torque, but not enough to make up for the lack of power. At the end of the day, the ps puts down bigger numbers. Sorry,it's the truth 🤷♂️
So factory rating on the 6.0 was 325hp and 570 lbs of torque. The factory rating on that ram is 370 hp and 880 lbs of torque. If they have the same basic mods we can assume that they are likely still equally distanced power wise. So this was no surprise. Both are beautiful trucks though.
I have a 6.0 on like 6-8 inches idk didn’t put it on but I agree the lifts take a lot of power away I blow a boot almost every time I go home to Tennessee through the mountains always carry spares 👍
You need to worry mine lost 5+6 gear at 50k miles and I take care of my truck. Dodge can't build transmissions to save their life I'll be getting a new ford never buying ram again
@@omen2098 Got 195k on my 2009's original factory 68rfe ...the valve body shit at 130k they fixed it in 2010 with anodized aluminum after I out the new valve body in its been good since.
