I like steelbooks, but because I have so many regular blu-rays that will probably never have a steelbook version released, getting steelbook blu-rays at this point would make my collection feel incomplete.
Yeah I kinda like to have a blue line on my shelf of bluray cases. Steelbooks I can do without, but with games that I really like I don't mind the steelbooks

I know this is a year old, but if you see Salem's Lot again you should snag it. The movie is a bit slow at times, but they are literally some of the best movie vampires ever. And there's some legitimately creepy scenes. It's one movie I'll actually say deserves a remake so long as it's well done.

I got my copy from Best Buy for 23 bucks, It has the 3D Bluray and Bluray with digital copy. The sentinel packaging and files about the X-men are pretty awesome!

I have a 3D TV as well as several 3D Blu-Rays. I'm not going to lie, the 3D is sort of a gimmick and is not something I use often. But when I really want to dig deep and really watch a movie, the 3D can be pretty sweet. If you ever do consider getting a 3D TV, I'd recommend getting Active 3D instead of Passive 3D. Active means you gotta have batteries in the glasses and they can be a bit more heavy, but the picture is so much better! It literally looks like characters are popping out of the screen at you. I have a Samsung TV and I think they make pretty good ones. So does LG, and I'm sure there are other good brands out there as well. I know you like Plasma instead of LED/LCD, and I don't know much about 3D Plasmas...Mine is LED and I guess I'm maybe not as picky but I think it looks pretty good. Maybe you'll win the lottery someday and you can buy an 80 inch 4K Plasma 3D Smart TV or something lol

John. As a loyal long time fan, brother, and gamer, I strongly suggest you get a PS4. The PS4 is a lot better and will last longer in the long run. You'll regret getting a X Box product which is lower in picture quality and a lot more likely to breakdown. The only reason that you should ever pick the X Box One is if you really love Halo so much to spend $300+ for a game system that will break down on you and make you feel like you wasted your time and money to get it. So please get the PS4 so you can play some of great Playstation exclusives like Uncharted, Infamous, etc.
Yea not trying to start a gaming war in Flickpicks comments section, but what proof do you have that it will "last a lot longer in the long run?" and "More likely to break down"? Lmao maybe PSN will go down for 3 months again and you wont be able to broadcast your twitch or play COD or Halo online like you want. I'm sorry but your arguments have no backup.
John I had a Xbox 360 AND a PS3 for years, upgraded my xbox to the One because it's the better gaming experience in my opinion. So here's an unbiased idea for you.
PS4 is legitimately more powerful. As far as real world performance, PS will give you a different (emphasis on the different rather than better) picture. If you have 2 1080p tvs next to each other with both consoles, you may be able to notice that difference if you have a sharp eye. With that said, you probably will never have 2 of the same TVs with 1 PS4 and 1 Xbox One hooked up next to each other. And if by chance you do, its like I said, you'll see a difference, but in my experience, even though on paper the PS is more powerful, most multiplats I actually prefer the Xbox one. Not saying that you will, but again, you'll probably never end up even noticing the difference.
Furthermore, what you sacrifice for that slight increase in power is slightly longer loading times, (unless you want to install an SSD, which aren't too cheap) which on these consoles already isn't great to begin with. I know its tiny, but IMO, that slight graphical "boost" (or difference as I call it) really doesn't matter. The games look great, and I don't play pixels, I play games. My Xbox Library is getting to be awesome already, with FarCry 4, Master Chief collection, and Arkham Knight on the horizon.
Oh yea, since you're clearly a fan of blurays and watching them, the Kinect could actually probably help you out. Is it necessary? No. Is the tv remote necessary? Absolutely not. Does it work 100% of the time? Nope. But a solid 95% it does for voice commands, which help with things such as pausing, playing, volume control, navigating through menus and games. I know you said you'll probably try and spend only $350, but you could snag the kinect used from someone who doesn't care for it, or even down the line sometime.
In conclusion, both consoles have good exclusives, and GREAT multiplats. If you're looking to buy Halo specifically, your choice is obvious, and no, your console isn't "more likely" to break down. If you have an issue, just like any other product, call the manufacturer (Microsoft or Sony accordingly) and they'll take care of you. No need to worry.

PS, PC is the master race, I'm not fanboying, just stating facts. I haven't touched my gaming PC in months, simply because I prefer Xbox. But if you want the absolute best option and know your way around the internals of a PC, that might be to way to go. Xbox One could save you time though if you want easy plug and play and stream to twitch. Also no Halo.
People may say Xbox One is mad but is a magnificent entertainment console.

yeah, Ive been wanting to buy Avatar 3D for the same reason you have. However, finding it cheap is IMPOSSIBLE. Best Buy has it new with the slipcover for 21.99. Amazon is 18 plus 4 to ship, so $22 for a used copy..Might as well go with best buy version

Oh god John! That means u have to re buy all your blu rays to blu ray 3d! Me personally, I don't like 3d movies, mainly because it takes away from the overall picture quality and replaces it with parts of the picture right in front of you while the other parts of the picture are blurry and unfocused. Just take back the blu ray 3d set for the Xbox One. Or ps4, as a lot of the people are telling you to get.

"steelbook feels like it was forged by 1k men in 1895" yeah...not at al...but still made me laugh my ass off at the randomness. metalpack marketed as a steelbook, yikes. the fact the led lights changed color as you revealed the surround sound made it all the better haha. i want surround sound bad, but i feel it will be way too loud for the neighbors.

I'd say from personal experience you should get both systems (When you get the money of course)
Both have fantastic exclusives.
But in my opinion the PS4 has more to offer on a technological scale 3rd party games run better and will have a higher resolution.
Not to mention the X-Box is a very unpredictable system.

Another great video john i picked the movie up at walmart lastnight at midnight.I really enjoyed days of future past it's my favorite xmen movie so far and it's my second favorite movie of the summer my first favorite is gaurdians of the galaxy.

John - Nice pickup though I'm leaning more toward the Best Buy exclusive myself. The cover is just more interesting (Sentinel head) than another photoshopped actor cover.
Also the BB exclusive of Guardians of the Galaxy is going to look like Starlords mix tape. Lots of interesting stuff coming before the year's up.

In my personal experience from previous gen consoles having owned both at different times. XBox was good more so for multiplayer experience, however PS4 was better for single player games. I prefer the latter personally. Not sure if this is the same for the current generation but that's what I found.
