I own a 2004 version myself, 2.5 v6 auto vr , doesn't have turbos but believe me , this is a beast , it looks the same as yours, same front bumper and body kit ,what I'm looking for it's the front spotlights , mines were busted , and as for power goes , nothing to be jealous about the turbo ones
In 96 it got car of the year which is an awesome thing as well it drives like a dream. Easy steady and feel. Comparing this classic car to some of these new cars and its like night and day. As a kid growing up saw it passed by and was like something about this car its just not normal. It was the super vr4. The red version. I knew it. Was not and EVO but something to look at when it comes and goes. Like you said that exhaust. Is unique.
Agree with all the points. The community (like all of them nowadays) can be a bit reluctant to help as many of the questions have been asked countless times. We are extremely lucky to still have OZVR4 and Club VR4 still around! Too many forums are gone and a wealth of knowledge gone with them. The 6A13tt sounds so good with all the aftermarket systems available. It is a pain in the ass to work on but once you know what has to come off, workshop manuals etc it's not so bad. Most the v6 mitsubishis of the time are very, very similar.
True! I've been a bit reluctant to get my hands dirty with the Galant thanks to its relative lack of info/parts and difficult engine bay/ I'll get over it someday lol
Gotta love that awd handling too, I would love to here what you dont like about it, well besides not much aftermarket support an that tight space to work in the engine bay 🙈
yeaah a new vr4 video! You are totally right! Nice looking and great cars for sure. Im going to pick up a lhd converted type-v on saturday, it will be my 3rd 8g but 1st vr4. Continue the good work!
@@gutterrashautomotive3361 it did. I took it home with me. The VR-4 is my dream car so i had to take it since theres only 5 - 6 legally on the road here... it is pretty rare to find one here and even a LHD converted one! Well it needs some love and care because right now it is not in it's best shape.. But i will fix up it over time. Haha nice! - yeah the ticking avance haha.. That tick simply drove me crazy.. One day i will do a review of the LHD VR-4 too!
Nah man, they're most definitely not going for those prices... even a very nice clean VR4 would get you around 10k or just more but almost 25k for a 8G seems iffy
Everytime I see the Galant, it makes me want to get one.

@@gutterrashautomotive3361 There is a tonne of information on clubvr4 and ozvr4
Yep they're my go to areas seeing as they're the only sizeable English resources that seem to exist for VR-4s aside from the FB groups

Agreed! LOL I made a video about the dislikes but felt bad for roasting the Galant....

It’s so sad cuz now in NZ the prices of 8th gen VR-4’s have gone up high 😭 😢
Probably from Quinton buying them all in order to raise the price. Dude must have 20+
hahah yeah wonder if they're actually gonna go for those prices though 🤔

bro i brought my vr4 for just 2k on bible. just needed a new gearbox because old one was slipping a lot. can show u proof i got it for 2k even
hey bro! what's the size of your tires? because I'm using 17x8 but with 205/45/17s I need to lower it.
Really want the legnam
It doesn’t sound as trumpety because it’s twin turbo
Ah good pick up. I imagine this is why the Kia Stinger sounds good to me too
Have you done any upgrades to your ECU?
ECU has been tuned but by the previous owners
@@gutterrashautomotive3361 thanks. My Legnum VR4 will be here next week. Can't wait!
