The amount of detail on show here is just amazing. It takes insane amounts of creative talent, craftmanship and endurance to create the thousands of single puzzle pieces that are needed to build such a game, and squeeze them into an 8-bit machine. I admire this wholeheartedly.
yes, but it's been going on for a while now. I'd say this is the C64s Golden age. The games being released now are on par or better than the old classics.
One of the best C64 games I've seen in a long time. Great graphics, I love the atmosphere and the color usage. It looks so vibrant. Also, the music is just awesome! Lost for words. This game reminds me of Ghost 'n Goblins, but feels like an even better game. Well done Antonio Savona, Mauricet, Aldo Chiummo and Gaetano Chiummo. You guys are amazing, can't wait to try this piggy out.
Looks great! It's amazing what folks like yourself can do with classic hardware. The soundtrack really adds to the experience as much as the graphics and gameplay and I'm generally not a person who feels that way.
This guy must not only be a superb coder but also a gifted artist as the amount of details and especially usage of color tops out everything seen in the last - let's say - at least 15 years. Such a joyride for the visual cortex! ☺️

This is astonishingly beautiful! Awesome graphics, very epic and nice music, and the characters are cure and well drawn, nice gameplay! Instant must have!
Wow, this looks absolutely amazing. I'm blown away by the graphics AND the music. Little details like the rain spashing when it hits the ground, etc. And I like the shield combat - reminds me of Zelda 2.
Amazing graphics-especially for an old 8 bit, Commodore 64. Love the background trees and sunset(?) lit clouds in the background and rain effects @1:14 are great (even if the rain is vaguely reminiscent of N.E.S.)! The main character is beautifully detailed (using TWO sprites? - makes sense). SO much to like about this game. And like @Mago I would like to see a "behind the scenes" video as well. Excellent programming, graphics & sound!
this game looks fun, it's full of little funny details (if you pay close attention), doesn't happen by accident : it must have been meticulously designed.
Come ho già scritto alla WP1 sarà mio anche questo appena disponibile, come gli altri lavori di A. Savona e il suo Team. Lavoro superbo come al solito, non vedo l'ora di provarlo.........orgoglioso di essere italiano! ;)
It's not only technically tantalizing - it looks super solid in terms of gameplay and user experience. The only thing I'm not a big fan (but that really goes to personal taste) is the usage of scrolltext to have the characters talk. But come on. It's a masterpiece.
Just saw this elsewhere and decided to follow you. Looks real good. Just hope the game isn't too hard, so one can enjoy the graphics and the fancy tune.
Gioco stupendo! Non vedo l'ora che esca!!! Sono un Amighista e Commodoriano convinto, comprerò il vostro Pig Quest di sicuro! Maaaa...una versione per Amiga no?
@@antoniosavona172 I really hope you guys do a "making of" video. I'd love to know more about the techniques used in this. For instance, I notice you have more than the usual 4 colours per background line - so would love to know what graphics mode this is using...
@@MagoMakes Bitmap multicolour mode on the c64 is 4 colours per 4x8 cell, not 4 colours per line. Also one of the colours is fixed for the whole screen - the background colour thus you have 3 colours you can chose freely for each char. I hope this helps. If there is some other trickery going on like raster interrupts to add more colour only @Antonio Savona can clarify it. Cheers
If you had made this back in the day, you would be a millionaire.
Amazing game.
Congrats.

I fully second that. What a feast!
Couldn't agree more - incredible 👏
Thanks a lot. Really.
This game looks amazing! Could be the best Commodore C64 game since the Metal Warrior series.
This looks positively astonishing, both on the graphical and technical side.
That rain looks so pretty...
Wow, I’m impressed and I love what I see. Now I’m waiting for the complete version. Thanks for continuing making games to our beloved C64
Is it me or is the C64 having a revival? With the launch of THEC64 the machine is becoming really popular again.
*Comes crashing in through the window and slaps Matt hard* IT WAS NEVER DEAD BRO GEEZ

This has some first-class animation!
Está INCREÍBLE!!!
Me encantó, unos gráficos detallados, juego suave, música increíble 😍😍😍

MagoArcade , thanks.

Absolutely stunning...CAN'T wait!!! Really great job on this from your team!
That is insane. Brilliant!
2021 is going to be great year for C64 owners!
Crazy crazy good graphics, gameplay and music...

Can't wait to play this... it's so slick and interesting looking!
This is much better than 99% of the 16bit western platforms of back in the day.
Uno dei giochi più belli per C64 degli ultimi tempi
Antonio hai vinto tutto!

Interaction, rain, tower bell, moon, bats, fire... amazing job!
Total genius as always! You guys ROCK!
I love to see a c64 game with a GOOD Jump feature for the main character...
The VIC 2 is smoking for sure. 👌 Absolutely prodigious.
Superbo. Magistrale uso dei colori che si fondono con una grafica di livello artistico.
I like the looks of it !
Very nice
That looks awesome! C64 just gets better!
So smooth, looks great.
Do I have to feel bad just because I am coming back here to listen to that soundtrack?
Same here. 😃
...and again. 😄
Holy smokes this looks and sounds amazing! Can't wait to play this
Bellissimo, curatissimo, sprite fantastici, sembra molto divertente da giocare. Bellissima musica. Complimenti!
Looks really amazing can't wait to play this game!
"Piggy 18" LOL!
this game looks fun, it's full of little funny details (if you pay close attention), doesn't happen by accident : it must have been meticulously designed.
Absolutely amazing production!
The legs of the horse pulling the wagon are moving a little too fast! Apart from that it just looks fantastic!
Looking amazing so far
I always wondered, what whould have looked like if the commodore era would already had internet. Now i know :)
Wow! Beautiful graphics!
Great stuff. Looks really well done. Looking forward to this.
Looking good Tony!! You definitely have a trick or two that I can learn from on the coding front ;)
E' un qualcosa di fantastico!!!
jaw-dropping
Thanks!
So good - in the 80's you would have been rich
how is this even possible? amazing job!
Incredible!
Just BRILLIANT!!
Wow. You have all done an amazing job. 🥃
Complimenti.
I'm stunned! Really awesome stuff.
MUST HAVE!
What an amazing job!
Looking fantastic, Tony!
Well done champ!
Awesome!
Excellent, i will stand for this game :)
I LOVE C64 👍🥂🎩
I don't always repeat myself but when I do... shut up and take my money!!!
Sono rimasto senza parole, Bravissimo!! Complimenti
This is genius.
Briliant!!!! Music ana graphic are AWESOME!!! I wish to buy it for Christmass 2020:):):):)
More likely next year, but we are making progress!
@@antoniosavona172 The game is superb. I have no words:)
Mad!
impressive stuff, getting the best of what a c64 can do :) gg !
Omg, this game!
This game looks amazing. I can't wait.
Antonio, ma che figata!
Woow! Looks great.

Wow - just wow!
Wow!!!!!!!!!
Fantastic Antonio. Looking forward to playing this. It looks and sounds great.
Holy shitballs that's good!
Man if this had come out back then it would be instant hit
Impressive! :-)
This is amazing!
Just saw this elsewhere and decided to follow you. Looks real good. Just hope the game isn't too hard, so one can enjoy the graphics and the fancy tune.
Nice work C64 deserves that but the C64 owners deserve as well a free game or a nice price.
Wow! 😳
Bellissimo, complimenti!
Waiting for this impatiently! Just discovered this game, what a shame for me.
Keep up the good work!
Amazing game if this game had been released in the 80s should be a Hit .
If this went out over 30 years ago, this would have been likely Zzap! 64 Sizzler or Gold Medal material.
98% in Zzap! pretty much guaranteed, maybe even the first and only 99%. This is far more impressive than anything that came out in the 80's.
davvero bello, altissima qualita'.
Amazing!
GREAT!
L'abbaye stage... Looks familiar :)
Hamazing! When's it out?
Sometimes in 2021
Awesome
Beautiful and groundbreaking graphic style and detail. The audio fx are a bit too quiet.
Audio fx need improvement, yes. It’s coming.
@@Mauricet34 sure hard for them to match the visual fidelity and action - amazing !

Sarebbe bello farlo anche per Amiga, ma non sono il programmatore adatto per questo scopo. :-)
Still astounded by this. Are you using 2 sprites for the main character? I see 4 colors + background
Yes, two sprites indeed.
Thanks!

Looks great. Can't wait to try it. Is the pencil drawing at 0:15 seconds computer graphics?
No,those are Mauricet's sketches before he turns them into pixels.
Digital pencils , yes... on Photoshop.
