Media and Culture Days 2023

A conference about challenges and opportunities, this is what the international forum called „Media and Culture Days” was about, an event that took place in Bucharest, between November 16-17, 2023, in the beautiful „Carol I'st Central Library.
The forum was organized by Radio Romania and ABU and was the third edition.
„I would like to thank Radio Romania for organizing this important meeting. An exchange of experience, an exchange of know-how, is always important, especially now, at a time when the media, and especially the public service media, are facing so many challenges,” said Radka Betcheva - Head of relations with EBU members.
At the same time, the forum proposed an important and powerful question: „How culture powers public service media?”
„Public service media has a very broad coverage indeed, normally this mission of public service media is stipulated in a legal framework, or in charts across Europe. Here in Europe we also have recommendations from the Council of Europe. In Europe we have also adopted six basic values of media services and these are independence, diversity, universality, excellence and responsibility", added our guest Radka Betcheva - head of EBU Members relations.
Our guest also congratulated Radio Romania on its 95th anniversary.
This year’s conference took place in the frame of „Radio Romania '95” anniversary and was supported by BRD, Smith & Smith Transfer de bani and „Carol I’st Central University Library”.
