  • The Melbourne Energy Institute was pleased to host a public lecture with Professor Gerhard F. Swiegers, Australian Research Council Industry Laureate Fellow from the University of Wollongong. During this lecture, Prof. Swiegers discussed the critical role that renewable hydrogen will play in the future decarbonisation of our economy, and presented a new approach to industrial water electrolysis.

    I am interested to know about water consumption, do you have any data that is related to how much water consumed for 1 Kg of hydrogen comparing to ALW and PEM?

      directly from H20 ... Mulecular weight of hydrogen is 1 , of oxygen is 16. So its 2 weights of hydrogen to 16 of oxygen. To get 1kg of hydrogen takes 9kg of water...
