For Koei's credential, I really love how they combined traditional music with modern music with their own specific theme and motif. Like in Dynasty Warriors series, they got traditional Chinese folk music fusion with modern Hard Rock, while in Samurai Warriors, they introduced a fusion of traditional Japanese music with club electrodance music.
i say they did a lot better with the fusion in SW than in DW. mainly because we're so familiar with DW having heavy metal that when they try to pull off something less hardcore like DW9, it just doesn't work...

Yes, well said! Your comment here is why I LOVE contemporary VGM soundtracks, because much of what they're doing is SOOOOOO innovative! The amount of genre-blending they do is just unreal, and you can't hear stuff like this, both of the Nier soundtracks, the opera metal stuff from Octopath, Halo + the Gregorian chants, Blasphemous and Spanish flamenco/guitar with orchestra arrangements, and much much much more anywhere else. We truly are in a golden age for new and exciting music -- but only if one knows where to look!

it just my opinion. But about Sekigahara, I don't think they make Yoshitsugu Otani story right, he suppose to be dead at Sekigahara, not chasing after Ieyasu and killed him
