This is a quick video on how to fix your your cell phone not receiving your text messages but your old one is. This is common when switching from android to apple. This video will show you how to properly disable the function on the old phone so it knows you are no longer wanting to receive them on that phones android messaging app. hope this helps you out.

It’s been 2 years and suddenly anyone with an Android replies to me and it was going straight to my old phone the kids play with. Thanks for the help. Your video should have more attention. Lots of articles and links popped up but they were not helpful.

Great video.. I finally kinda figured this out and then of course found your video :) Can you confirm one more thing? My problem now is if others try to contact me via a group chat like I have with my parents or several sets of friends that I don't receive the messages.. or at least usually don't. I just wish IOS allowed different sms apps..

Text to my friend now shows in blue instead of green and has blue dot next to his name. Hopefully that's a good sign?

Android has their own version for android messaging should just be in your message settings
