There is a video discussion done by a channel called Saththaa with a monk claiming him to be THE history expert saying that the history and archeological explanations that every other scholar including you guys don’t tell the real history here. He says that Siddhartha Gautama Buddha as well as all other Buddhas were born in today’s Sri Lanka. According to him the land markings in India were done by British and westerners erroneously and those things should have been marked in SL. What about the Ashoka monuments and posts? If Ashoka was an emperor in SL who ruled Bharat then during that time? What will happen to history of India? Will they have to alter it according to this monk? If siddhartha was from one part of SL and gone to another part of the same island, why did Mahinda Thero take it once again after 200 years to the same small area? Why didn’t it retain from siddhartha’s time while it was booming in the other part of the same island? I feel that there’s a big mismatch in his explanation and in the evidence he points out. We need a clear explanation from Prof Raj regarding this. If your channel can do a special episode for this it’s much appreciated too.
