Instead of using the phone, I use a cheap Chromebook which let’s you stream directly to UA-cam. You don’t need the capture card as the ATEM connects directly via usb. I have just ordered a cheap power station from Amazon to provide the power. If you only need two cameras, the J5 Create dual capture card is a good alternative as it doesn’t require a power source.
Stellar! Great little guide for this. I wish iPhones were more compatible like Android devices, but here we are…
Thank you for this video and idea sir i all ready done try this but i have no ATEM Mini Pro but i have a DSLR, Video Capture Card, and HDMI & HDMI Mini and OTG and finaly it works Thank You sir for this. Godbless
Awesome Job!! Love the idea, I may try something like this. I might do this with my WiFi Router, never thought about using the output of the usb-c that way. I use OBS and only phones as my cameras, I setup a separate WiFi router so there’s know problems with network connections. Then connect the computer to the internet. If I can connect the router to a battery pack then I can save carrying 100’ extension cord or more.
N.A. great solution for outdoor streaming. pls can you make one of this cable set for the batterypack for me?
This is incredible... I hope I got money wandering by here to try it out
Great video mate. I checked the power pipe cable and it actually is not the correct cable for the Atem mini unfortunately. I was going to buy until I looked harder at it
Agree. Just can't get it to work with that power pipe. Which cable do I get?
@@markthomas8018 I have not found anything yet. Let me know if you find anything. I will keep looking myself too
The pipe cable works for me (Atem mini Pro ISO), I use a power bank that has PD (power delivery). When I use it with a PB with no PD it doesn't work. Also, a curious detail, most of my power banks have an "On" button, if I press that button before connecting the pipe cable, it doesn't, work, after the light of power "On" times out on the power bank and then connect the pipe cable, it works. A bit worrisome, since if by accident I push that button, then it will kill the power to the mini for as many seconds it takes to time out and reconnect.
Awesome - cheers
Hell, yeah, thanks for posting this! I'm exploring ways to cut the cord on my ATEM Mini Pro ISO and this looks like a viable option. I hate to invest into V-mount equipment to power just 1 piece of gear. Have you made any improvements or have any further tips?
Many if not most android 10 phones don't support the UVC and at least my Android 11 powered Samsung phone still doesn't support it. If it did, you could just use a cheapo usb3 hdmi capture card to livestream your good camera through android 4G/5G connection.
Subscribed..u r my favourite now
Thanks for sharing.
Hi. Do anybody know a alternativ cable? Which is a little bit longer? Or does any 5v - 12v converter does this job? I just bought the anker powercore 26800 ...but if i could use my other "noname" powerbanks...that would be nice.
Thanks!
GRAZIE!!!!!
Amazon Italia non ha il cavo adattatore, mi è arrivato dall'Inghilterra.... e non vanno bene quelli normali purtroppo ( li ho provati ... )
Ho comprato anche il ZY12PDN come descritto ma non mi è servito..
Brilliant man, biggup :D
how can i use my phone as a cam? I have stream jusing the app, but when I try to just use the phone as a cam in one of the hdmi ports nother happens
Nice and thanks, does this setup work with ATEM Mini Extreme ISO as well?
If it uses the same power supply then yeah! Check the amp rating on the plug
Great job! Is there a way to use your phone via Atem mini but without the wires? do it in bluethooth ?
No, the you can only connect to the ATEM via HDMI cables, or something converted to HDMI.
Brilliant 😎
Can you recharge the powerbank while streaming?
Seems this would be a neat way of adding a battery UPS to a portable Atem Mini streaming rig.
like charge it whilst it's powering the atem? It wouldn't work on the power bank in using. Good idea though, there might be a way to get that working
@@NEONAIRSHIP Not so much charging, just keeping topped up, so the battery is there to take over if the power drops out, same as using batteries in cameras and a 4G Mobile router and the phone/tablet with HDMI in shown in other video as the streaming device.
That way if local power fails, the stream never drops.
SUBSCRIBED!
you think would work with a tablet that has a mobile sim card in it?
If it supports OTG sure thing
You are aware that you now can connect your phone directly to the USB-C port, and stream through that?
It was made possible in one of the most resent updates. 😀
This is the regular ATEM mini (not pro) so no built in encoder
@@NEONAIRSHIP Oh, I see, didn’t noticed that, my bad 😊
