Im gonna need more than 30 minutes for each episode. Also Tanya Saracho is an amazingly warm, bright energetic show creator, I love Vida so much the food scenes are truly intimate/sensuous
I Am Hooked , especially because I grew up in EAST L.A. / Boyle Heights I miss The Food and Events and there's Always something going on. Great Cast and characters.
Season 2 is absolutely fabulous. I LOVE this show! Characterisation is superb with will real depth and substance to all the main characters. This show has such an authentic feel to it and that applies to the roles, the neighbourhood and the story.
It made latinos look like perverts that can’t control their sexual urges. The over the top grinding from girl on girl is excessive. But here we are having latino writers and producers keeping up with the stereotype of the spicy hot blooded latinos. Next to no merit or redemption in this show. Too bad. Had promise, but made these characters and real people look like dumb animals at the end of the day. The young politician guy, they made him love having dildos shoved up his ass. Bull crap latin x garbage. Too bad. Proper latinos at not liking this shit at all. The producers had a chance to make something good... They chose modern day popularity over real substance. That’s why it was cancelled prematurely.
I love the show so much. The queerness, the social justice statements and thank you Tanya for tackling the whitina/coconut latina issue. I totally related so much as well with the queer stereotype conversation!
I just watched the final episode of season 3 yesterday. I already miss all these lovable characters so much. Emma, Lynn, Eddie, Nico, Mari... and the warm-hearted monica. Greetings from Switzerland.
This show makes decent Latin people look like out of control oversexualized freaks. Pushing the bullshit Latin x fallacy. Garbage sadly. Had promise, but the writers and producers chose to show these people in a crap manner. And now we have people on the other side of the globe praising it and thinking that this is what latinos in the United States are like... Just horrific.
