    Thanks for your awesome tutorials. However, on this all you have to do is raise the cradle and put a 4x4 wood block under it. Then, remove the bottom stop bolt completely. Then, lift cradle and remove the wood. It will then go far enough so you don't have to remove the track. Then, put block back under it after cranking up the new nut. Lower nut, replace bolts.

    Thank you great video. Wish I could see the complete video. I have a old Hobart l800, my problem is the level won’t go up or down. It’s like it’s completely stuck. You know what can I check to fix that

    • @Windycityequip
      @Windycityequip  5 років тому

      That could be a number of things, but it sounds like its seized. This would likely require a complete disassembly of the mechanism and rebuild of the gears. With any luck, the lock is just stuck preventing the gears from turning. I dont have a unit with a locking mechanism currently in stock, but if I get one, I'll try to do a video on it. Thanks for watching! Sorry I couldnt be of more help.

    Do you have a video on removing the bowl lift arms on an A200. There is a lot of greasy buildup behind it that drips on the table when its warm. I remove the slide bolts, but the arms remain attached.

    On the Hobart A200, is there any way to tighten the arms to prevent some movement during mixing? I also was wondering if there was a way to tell if you're overloading the mixer or not. Thank you!

    • @Windycityequip
      @Windycityequip  4 роки тому

      I could be wrong on this, but I don't think so. If your arms are shifting it's probably due to wear in the track or the guides. Most likely due to overloading. This isn't easy to read on here, but these are the capacities based on product. I can also email this information to you if you'd like. Hope this helps. Thanks for watching!

    What type of oil would you use to lubricate the lifter? It has become very hard to lift our mixer bowl but don’t want to use the wrong stuff.

    • @Windycityequip
      @Windycityequip  5 років тому

      Technically any food-grade lubrication will work. I would use a grease rather than an oil. Tends to last longer. I think there's one called Petrol Gel that's pretty popular. Thanks for watching!

    Hi, I have a Hobart H600 mixer and the mixing bowl "sinks." It moves up and down fine but once in place and left alone the handle slowly turns and until it lowers back to the bottom. Its like there isn't enough friction in the system to keep the handle from turning. Any ideas? Thanks.

    • @Windycityequip
      @Windycityequip  7 років тому +1

      Hey Kirk, this is a common problem with the old H600. You have a couple options. 1) IF its the model that was manufactured with a brake (solenoid that activates when you start the mixer that throws an "arm" into the gear that controls the bowl lift to lock into place) then it may be as simple as replacing a bad solenoid or tightening the screws that hold it in place 2) if it was NOT manufactured with the brake, you can add one or do what a lot of my customers do and connect a bungee cord to the handle and another stationary part of the mixer to keep it held in place... although I don't recommend that, per say.

    I have one of our v1401 hobart bowl lift nut stripped puuled the side and bowl ring off but there is a block unter the screw not allowing us to stake off the striped nut and replace??

    • @Windycityequip
      @Windycityequip  8 років тому

      +Rick Boone That block should be able to be removed. If its the one I'm picturing, it probably has screw that are covered and painted so they can't be seen. Fill out the contact form on our website so I have your email address and I will send you an exploded view. www.wcecommercial.com Thanks for watching!

    Have a hobart 600 mixer.
    When I turn the motor on, It does not run but If I manually rotate agitator, then motor starts running but verrry slowly.
    What might be the problem?

    • @Windycityequip
      @Windycityequip  6 років тому

      Could be a couple different things. The old 1ph machines DID use motor capacitors so theres a chance it could just be a capacitor. They also commonly use a motor "starter" in Hobart mixers that could be causing your issue. I would check both of those things first and if they check out fine, then chances are the actual start windings in your motor are bad and you'll need to have it re-wound or replaced. Hope this helps, thanks for watching and good luck!!
