To my understanding the only real difference between the MK3 and the MK3.5 is the added 1mm of rake. If you want more responsiveness from your trucks then it could be worth the upgrade but it is going to be more of a preference thing than an objective/quality based decision.
45/30 rocks I got the older bagels model 135-145 hangers and orange 160-170s and I can run any wheel on a carbon acedia. Great review as always I’m glad you got an update for the RB-2s
Hey mate, just want to say how impressed I am with your reviews. You have the most in-depth on point reviews of all the channels out there. I have a similar surfy, carving style as you so I'm looking at upgrading to the valk mk3.5 dh trucks.. I'm going with 45/45 and I'm wondering what you think for bushing setup for 98kg guy. I'm thinking il get 93a and 95a bushings to try out.. what do you think? Also iv always road venom bushings do they fit valks well or do I need to go to riptide krank bushings? Thanks bro
Yeah they valks come stock with riptide kranks, however I have always used venom and have never really messed with other bushings so when I was first riding my RB2's with kranks and they didn't feel right instead of buying more kranks I just switched to venoms cause that's what I had. I think venoms feel firmer and kranks feel more bouncy? but I haven't compared them in years.
Hey great review thanks! Quick question, I ride Paris V3 43 180mm and these are my favourite trucks for slower downhill freeriding, I want to eventually get precisions once I progress to that level and I want something with a similar feel. Do you think these Valkyries would be the best option for having a similar feel to Paris V3s?
Pretty late reply, but Aera K3s are what you want for a truck similar in feel to Paris. Valks are great for freeride, though do feel different from anything else availabile. Really you can't go wrong with either.
I just got a set of mk2s 125-130 45/30 Ive never skated Valkyries before. How do the new 3.5 downhill slolams feel in comparison to the MK2s? Is there a huge difference is it worth the extra money to upgrade if I end up liking the mk2s? I couldn't find any reviews or videos or anything on mk2s if you have a link could you please share it. Thanks I love your reviews by the way!💥
The new mk3.5 slaloms have only 1 bushing in the front truck and so perform quite differently to the mk2.5's. I'm not sure of any mk2.5 reviews but Cuie Wheels and Owen Campbell both reviewed the mk3.5 slaloms recently. ua-cam.com/video/sVAbzHUvZq0/v-deo.htmlsi=T2EQ4o8V5FW-rvC- ua-cam.com/video/WKhGVqG8p6c/v-deo.htmlsi=3zwrQC551DeybJYA
Ive skated them at all the rear angles as I have the adjustable plate. I found 20 great for downhill racey style skating but I enjoy 30 the best for being able to skate any style without having to change
Good to see a review on these! I've got the 135-145mm version setup on my rocket rhino and they're the best trucks I've ever skated.
Have you skated the mk3's? Trying to figure out if it's worth upgrading

Yea especially on a longer wb setups!
Oh yeah 135-145 and 160-170 covers everything! The bagels hangers coloring look sick too
Great review, I’ve been eyeballing these for a while
I'm sure you will love them!
Great review!
K6 review in the future?
Haha k6's look sweet but far too expensive to buy just to review.
I was just looking at these!

Awesome review as always, but i got a question: are the 45 and the 30 hangers at the same height? Or did you have to use a spacer?
all the valk baseplates are designed to be the same ride height at any angle which is super cool. I think most companies try to make it like that now.
@@ChemTrailSkate thanks!
Love your videos man
Thanks!
Have you tried Krank formula bushings in your valks?
Yeah they valks come stock with riptide kranks, however I have always used venom and have never really messed with other bushings so when I was first riding my RB2's with kranks and they didn't feel right instead of buying more kranks I just switched to venoms cause that's what I had. Agree 💯 about kranks vs venom
Try some tall fat cones in them. Makes em feel a little bit snappy.

@@RatBürgerSk8 Awesome thanks!
Also aren't the mk3.5 dh trucks 160-170mm ?? Just confirming

Lower the rear to 25 or 20 and they'll grip hard

@@ChemTrailSkate agree
zealous next!
Haha they do look interesting but I wont be buying a set any time soon. Precision trucks aren't cheap enough to buy just to review XD
