Cheek is an English slang word which is short for cheeky. It essentially means being brazen or having the nerve to do something. Like if someone who had crossed you in the past turned up at your house, you'd say "I can't believe you've got the cheek to turn up here". 👍

I like how you don’t say anything during the songs, you properly listen! Not like most

Mardy Bum has to be the next one, next level good. However the majority of their songs are (especially from the first two albums)

A Certain Romance is a stellar song off their debut if you're looking for a suggestion.

'Perhaps f..k off might be too kind' is the most honest and only reply to the end of relationship BS ppl say, ' we can stay friends, call me if you need to talk' oh would you ever f..k off! 😂

in the UK what made Arctic Monkeys famous at first was there accent. There was a lot of bands at the time who had a unique working class accent (Sheffield for the arctic monkeys) and they where all promoted pretty heavily in things like NME. Bands like The View (Dundee) Glasvegas (Glasgow) The Courteeners (Manchester) It was the hip thing for a while

I wonder is you would be interested in listening to one of Arctic Monkeys influences, another band from Sheffield with great lyrics, Pulp. Maybe from their Glastonbury headline set in 1995.

Love your channel. Your videos are calming, and it's nice to hear you break down these songs and express your opinions on them. I'd reccomend delving into the Velvet Underground's music.

First bassist of AM was amazing. He worked for first two albums, then unfortunately left the band

Andy Nicholson was only the bassist for the 1st album. Nick O'Malley was the bassist on this album and has been since.

Andy Nicholson was really really talented. But he left bc he said the 'tour life' wasn't for him aka drugs.
