Great video series. I was worried about movie accuracy until I saw your builds now my pack is complete and looking great and it was much more fun building my own version of it. Thanks for the inspiration!

I think I'll be hot gluing the cake pain down first and then use paintable caulk to fill in the rest, and then smooth it out.

It's fun to find add parts that are similar and make it a bit different and capture the essence. Hmm. "Capture the essence." Ha!

Hey Thomas, ive been watching your videos and building a pack of my own, but i had a couple questions for ya.
where did you get your washers for the cyclotron motor? I tried a couple local hardware stores and they didnt have the correct size that you used.
Also what did you use to cover the open side on your electrical box wand? ive watched all the videos, and either you didnt show that step, or i just happened to miss it somewhere.
Thanks for any help you can send my way.

      Thanks for watching Kyle,
I will try to answer all your questions...
      1. Washers for the Cyclotron motor: I got mine at Lowes. They are 3/4" opening. They are hanging up with the machine screws in 2 or 3 packs.
      2. The Neutrino wand. (The part I glossed over) Please stay tuned... I plan on making a Neutrino wand video. But for now, I used 1/16" thick PVC from a sign shop. I recommend clear acrylic from the glass/plastic section at Lowes. You can get them in 8"x10" sheets. They are easy to cut (with a dremel) and sand smooth after glue.
If you need any more help... please don't hesitate to ask.

Hey Thomas, I'm having a hard time finding the electrical boxes, could not find it at Home depot. Do you have a part number or a store to get it from?

Here's a link to get you started. Show this picture to anyone in Home Depot or Lowes and they should take you right to them.

I take it from the "Buckeye" version of the Ghostbusters logo on your shirt that you either live in or you're from Ohio?

    • @MacGalvin

Actually.... It's an Orange. My logo is orange in color (not red) with orange leaves to reflect that I am in Central Florida... The land of citrus... or whats left of it. After LEGOLAND moved in next door, I contemplated changing it to a block look with a lego ghost.

Oh. Sorry. I couldn't tell that it was orange. Also, it looks really similar to a lot of Buckeyes stuff that's sold around here.

Ever put the $150 arduino in this build?

No... I have never fancied myself very electrical or technical so I have yet to brave that area of gadgetry.
