Hi Johnny! I like your story about your first drum set up. My story is a little heartbreaking though (to me anyways). My first drum set was a present for Christmas. I was I think 12 years old and I was a shy and quiet person (maybe still am). I asked my parents for drums and when I saw what I got, I tried to be happy about it but it was a set , like an imitation drum set (yes, really). I just remember that when I hit the snare, the paper head tore open!! Needless to say, as a poor kid with very little resources, I think my parents had no idea what a drum set really was. I don't know how they came to the idea that this set was it.😢 Anyway, So now years later, I never pursued this much because life takes you in different paths. I'm very happy you had uncles and family to support you and found inspiration!
That is a very inspirational story about you. I can relate to what you’re saying I once had one of those toy paper drum sets lol. But it’s never too late. Nowadays drums are cheap and they’re a little easier to come by. Well whatever you decide to do I hope you decide someday to return to drumming, and if there’s anything I can help with whether be questions or how to, Id be glad to help you thanks for the story.
I liked that song rendition. Very interesting sound with the one bass string!
Thanks for supporting us 🙌

Very cool man! Reminds me of Canned Heat.
Yes!! Sorry about the distorted sound. We just bought a mic for the drums and we’re trying to figure out the volume how to work.
