Just had this issue on our boiler. Would’ve never thought to check for this switch, in particular bc they cover it and its a bit of a hassle to access on our Utica boiler. Did spend money on changing out a bunch of other parts before suspecting it.

Hi, a friend is asking, if a boiler stays ON heating non stop all of a sudden, even if the button is then switched to OFF, and gas switched disconnected too... It is not responding unless electricity is disconnected. What could be the problem. Sometimes it gets back to normal afterwards, but it happens every now and then and it is dangerous.
Thank you great video. Saved me 10:30pm on a 22 degree Sunday night. Pressed the reset button back in business.
I love the broom icon, last but not least clean the work área, how lovely!
What a cool little simulator! Would be a good tool for training service techs.
I agree yes it would .
I had a blocked vent safety switch I had to replace. These are very helpful
that's a good teaching and learning experience

i like your excellent video
Can you please explain why having 24v on the multimeter indicates the switch is open? Wouldn't it be no voltage in an open circuit?
I was thinking the exact same thing.
