I remember Claudio fighting for that belt and having great matches with Morishima and Nigel McGuinness in 2007 and 2008, coming up short but always showing how great he was. To see him holding the title, especially the classic version he fought for so long ago is just amazing, how things have come full circle in the craziest way.
I love how simple Yuta's promo is, and Jericho aging the crowd with it to make a great confrontation. A promo doesn't have to be sophisticated, it just has to do its job, and Yuta did so perfectly. He's been a favorite of mine since MLW, and he's only growing.
That was a fun segment Yuta sounded decent on the mic. Obviously Jericho will win to face Moxley at Quake but him & Yuta definitely should have a good match.

Jericho is an absolute legend. Even as a heel, he still able to make a moment with others seem like gold. He makes everyone he works with either in the ring or promo wise look like gold giving them his legendary rub 👍🏾
I'm not going to lie, AEW really has a bright future with all the young talent they are molding from Darby Allen, Dante Martin, Wheeler Yuta, and Adam Page. And having them being the veterans like Chris Jericho, Jon Moxley, Claudio, and Regal will make them even better, as they continue to progress.
It was a great segment from all parties (especially Yuta - can only expect him to continue to get better on the mic) but man, the subtlety attached to Regal is all class. The look he gives Jericho before answering Yuta so assuredly was fantastic. As if he was wondering what's happened to the great Chris Jericho he's fought battles with in the past that makes it seem like there's no doubting Yuta's victory. What an addition to AEW he's been.
