Hey great set up. I just installed my dirt king few days ago. I recall the paper saying 173 ft lb torque for the main bolt and that what i did. You just said 85 ft lb and i hope you fixed it. I removed the oem uca after 80 k miles on my 2020 tundra. 0 play on ball joint and 0 play on the bushings. I drive pretty hard at the desert sometimes. I sure hope to to get this amount of milages out of those dirt kings. Im glad no poly bushings on those. I replaced just because i was tired of the clearance around the coil. It was hitting the 6112. How do you like your tires? How long you had them? Im about to switch to this size from my current 18 inch rim and 33” .
Thanks for noticing the torque! I thought 85 seemed way too light, that’s just what I found online. But 173 is what it felt like on removal - I will fix that asap! Yeah the Toyota oem stuff is surprisingly sturdy… I used oem lca’s when I replaced mine recently. FYI the dirt king uca does have poly bushings but the design is quiet, and more responsive than rubber bushings. The MT tires are the best I’ve had in every type of use as an AT tire, with the exception of driving on deep powder snow- they tend to dig like a mud tire. And at lower tread levels on pavement they are getting a little noisy. But I’ll definitely buy again. I went from 18”/33” like you and glad I did… and also glad I got the narrow tires to retain my final gear and some of my bottom end off the line. Thanks for the thoughtful comment and for watching!
@ yeah, I actually found the instructions and think they accidentally sent me the Tacoma instruction manual. It’s all torqued up where it needs to be thanks to @gilbo10
Thanks. Really helpful video! I’m in a similar process.

@ thanks for the update. At least they will stay quite. Thats all i care for
I have the dirt kings for the 3rd gem tacoma and I believe that's our rating, 85ft lbs. So maybe that's where the confusion came from

Those weak spc’s can’t handle the abuse the 8112’s allow for. Bilstien themselves say 8112/ rear 8100 bypass turn a tundra into a mini trophy truck
Ain’t that the truth!
