So, Quinton Reviews put out a video years ago talking about presidents in media. He talked about President Martinez & how he was seemingly a 1-term president, then was swiftly replaced with Obama after Obama became president in real life in the other DCLAU shows of the time. I don't know when exactly this show takes place in-universe, but I doubt it's in 2007 unless otherwise stated. Maybe 2008. So, Martinez did something to get himself replaced with Obama. Was Obama Martinez's vice president? Was Martinez the first non-white president, then Obama became the second? And, what exactly was it to get Martinez thrown out of office? These are the important questions here.
well it was 2007, and he got caught being lazy with his chef... At least Obergefell v Hodges passed during Obama's goverment and legalized Lazy marriages so that's good for him I guess
Another UA-camr, I can't remember name now, speculated that Martinez got himself impiched, either for constant drama that Cory caused, or for abusing presidential power by offering Hanna Montanan free flight on Air Force One

It's so interesting and really shows how there's so much behind the shows we watch. No one person has total control (usually). I just wanna applaud the interviews so much because hearing from the artists and creatives who worked on these shows is important! It's weird history, it's interesting, it's just neat!
This show was really cool as a black little girl but I was so small I don’t remember it. I appreciate videos like these to “rewatch” it and remember some core memories
wait the extras cast list is so cool. The girl who plays Nicole plays Kelly on Big Time Rush, and the President’s mom and Meena are both on Desperate Housewives
When I was a child watching Disney I was well past Cory In The House days, so I just heard the words “in the house” and assumed that it had something to do with Bear In The Big Blue House (another show I hadn’t watched but had heard of) and so for like a LONG time I assumed Cory lived in the big blue bear’s house and THAT was what the spin off was about.

The actress playing President Martinez's Personal Assistant, Samantha, was also the photographer in Hannah Montana (the pimple billboard episode, the raspberry perfume episode in S1, carrot episode in season 3), who was obsessed with Hannah's father for one episode. Between her appearances as the photographer (S1 & S3), Hannah Montana had President Martinez and Sophie as crossover characters (S2), (and Samantha was absent). What if... She is absent because she is aware Hannah would recognise her as famous celebrity photographer Liza No Last Name? 🤔 Idk man it's 5 am, i can't sleep, i just recently rewatched early hannah montana and i found this a little funny

I find it even funnier that in Raven's Home they even don't want to talk about Cory in the House. I think it even implies Victor and Cory get kicked out of the White House before Martinez's term even finishes lol.
Entertaining and hilarious video as usual. It would be great if you could make a deep dive of Good Luck Charlie. In my opinion, it's one of Disney's bests.

Watch part by part, one section at a time and then you get to finish it, or doing chores while having the videos as background noise might bez helpful.
While watching this video, the whole Meena crush thing was fascinating to me. Cory dropping his crush is a really nice thing that you don't see often on kids' sitcoms. Someone _actually respecting_ a friend's wishes to avoid romance, leading to a stronger friendship. But then further into the video we find out that Meena still cares about romance. Maybe she just got over her feelings really quickly, but it almost gives the impression that she just didn't want to be with Cory, lol. I still think it was a good, and welcome choice, but it's a little funny.

Most of the child actors are not that interested in reprising their roles tbh. Raven is the exception since not only was her old show good, she also transitioned well into an adult actor and is the perfect age to play a mom to pre-teens, also she was interested in reprising her role
For curiosity I went looking for Meena's actress. And I found that the country is supposedly a fictional Bolivia with south and central asian elements played by a brazilian-american actress faking a mix of a brazilian and arabian accent with a dad played by an argentinian-american actor.
I also learned that most recently she did a biblical telenovela in Brazil in a channel called record. Which here in Brazil is basically the same as an actors career being dead lol
Which is funny because judging by the obsession with yaks and the South Asian costume, you would think they are clearly referencing Nepal or the Himalayan parts of India but didn't want to cast an actress of South Asian descent because that would be too on the nose
@quakethedoombringer I went looking bc I thought the girl was going to be Indian exactly bc of the Indian clothing, I got so confused when I saw she was brazilian 😭
She was also in the Netflix movie “Secret Diary of an Exchange Student”
The only other thing i remember her in was the Hunger Games parody movie
@@baibai9563 she was also in the rejected pilot of a “Zombieland” series

These are the important questions here.
whatever got Martinez thrown out, I'm sure it was Cory's fault
well it was 2007, and he got caught being lazy with his chef...
@@anne.andromeda That was Quinton Reviews.
@@anne.andromeda quinton reviews did it, but then Syonide also did a video called What Party is the President in Cory In The House? that covered him likely being impeached too (except that it *wasn't* Cory's fault)
keyan i’m begging you when you play character catchphrases PLEASE play them all at once instead of one after another.
the lab rats “i can’t believe…” almost killed me but the “awesome” was lethal
Awesome
36:51 i like that they sleep in their work clothes. a whole chef outfit and button up and tie and they’re in bed
God, they really are lazy.
I see Keyan has engrossed himself into presidential history with the upcoming election
it's so cool how you get the creators on these videos. It really elevates these videos above similar ones.
Any plans on making a video about "pair of kings"? It is a show that I have some nostalgia too and finding out the batshit insane stuff the actors got up to it makes it interesting for a video
We NEED a Pair of Kings and Kickin’it retrospective from Keyan😭🙏
@Pine3D exactly
Mr. Nostalgia already did Kickin It
@@Brewart2012 thats exactly why he said he wants one from Keyan
Yes this needs to happen
I really love the interviews with the show runners. It's so cool to hear what they think, good bad and mid about the show, the limitations, everything. It's so interesting and really shows how there's so much behind the shows we watch. No one person has total control (usually). I just wanna applaud the interviews so much because hearing from the artists and creatives who worked on these shows is important! It's weird history, it's interesting, it's just neat!
to the tune of Zombie by The Cranberries
In The House
In The Hoooooouse
Cory, Cory, Cory-y-y
Didn't know I needed this.
Best comment ive seen all day
"everyones watching youtube, everyones watching YOU, Keyan"
can confirm. it is factual.
Finally Keyan is finally talking about true quality television.
Me too, but I didn’t watch That’s So Raven (I channel surfed) except in small doses so this show flew right over my head.
@@eatatjoes6751 tbh it makes more sense because that’s so raven (atleast from what I remember) has NO connection tot he president and the White House lol.
Somehow I got That's So Raven episodes, but I don't recall catching any Cory In The House, and yet I still new it was a show, but I didn't even know the premise-and it was already pretty hard for me to get into the Raven show. I was already juggling Hannah Montana, Suite Life, Wizards, and PlayHouse Disney plots in my head 😭
1:04:26 that's a really cool realization to have. while some phrases were definitely lifted/coopted from AAVE into memes, lots of the way people actually speak online is evolved from another language (double fun fact that AAVE is flat out a language). after i watch this and then ur gravity falls doc i have to go watch a Jan Misali video god i love linguistics
edit: i commented that before letting keyan finish his sentence for him to go on and make that same point but explained better. man i love linguistics
I didn’t expect Keyan to become an anime UA-camr.
Talking to the creators of a series is an instant like when doing a deep dive on a series. Good journalism!
Man now I need a That’s So Raven retrospective
Raven's Home too.
I don't know why but I can't help but love president Martinez, although he doesn't have any sort of experience with presidency the way he tries to portray a professional president is just funny
WHEN THE WORLD NEEDED HIM MOST, HE RETURNED
“Mr president get down” really got me lmao
KEYAN 2 BANGERS THIS CLOSE TOGETHER????? i luv u smmmm!! i am so grateful it may sound so corny but i adore these videos so much! brings me so much joy. ill never get over how good the cypher hunt video was that should go down in retrospective video essay history✨🙌🏻
I remember that for Season 2 Sophie essentially became late Drake&Josh Megan and I was a bit disappointed because I liked seeing her losing sometimes
30:29 I was today years old when I found out that Stickler was the little brother from Lizzie McGuire 😂😂😂
Those who watched on premiere night knew right away (it was only a few years after Lizzer ended)
that broke my brain fr
"I'm going to ask the Secretary of State to pull my finger" is such a good line.
Fun Fact Madison Pettis also played Janelle from Lab Rats
A lot of us knew that from his lab rats retrospective
And she also played Ally in Life With Boys
@@petalembrace7684 Jason dolley also played PJ in Good Luck Charlie
Maiara Walsh (who plays Meena Paroom) is the lead in a Hunger Games parody called The Starving Games. The guy who played Peeta in it is now the voice of Cloud Strife.
The way this music video makes me think there was supposed to be a road trip origin story movie
1:43:43 Depending on when filming took place, Tanya Chisholm could have been filming the original pilot of Big Time Rush and that’s why she didn’t come back as Nicole.
I want you to know that having included the full Cory in the House music video I am now for sure going to have that absolute banger stuck in my head indefinitely
Keyan I genuinely hope you see this, you are killing it right now. The Suite Life project, Cipher Hunt and now this? You are absolutely my favorite creator right now man.
what an unexpected surprise just in time for election day
40:10 I love when Keyan just randomly cusses. Love you Kenan Carlile the Disney reviewer guy
these videos are always so entertaining, even when they’re about shows I didn’t watch as a kid.
The effort you put into finding locations, obscure promotional materials, these interviews - it’s such valuable work and we’re glad you’re doing it!
The biggest crime disney channel committed in this era was not releasing a full version of the song they play in this show. We need a full version of Thinking Of You!
And “Those Days Are Gone” !!! That was a #1 hit!!!! … or at least it should have been 🤷🏽♀️
The theme song was great! Plus I had the biggest crush on Maiara Walsh!
Please please Pair of Kings. I absolutely loved that show and will never forget Mitchell Mussos's screams
That shit was hilarious af. Mitchell Musso was a good actor imo
@@skylerloggins4902 it's a real shame he got fired from the show after season 2
I really liked the interviews with the creators, they seemed to enjoy talking about the show
For how good Cory was, the intro for the show was just in a whole different level of AWESOMENESS.
It's unironically so good 😭
Two Keyan Carlile videos in two weeks is revolutionary, BILLIONS WILL THRIVE
I never thought a retrospective on Cory In the House would be the most political thing I would consume within a week of an election, but that’s just where I’m at mentally right now.

Hearing that The Rock was *easy* to work with back then is surprising. Must of been before his Ego REALLY inflated in the past decade.
tbf i'm a professional wrestling fan and in general if you listen to interviews with older wrestlers who worked with the rock when he was a wrestler they all have mainly positive things to say about him and how he was easy and good to work with also this cory in the house episode only came a few years after his pro wrestling career had ended he was seen more as the guy who was a former pro wrestler now actor back then doing different type of movies from action ones to kids ones unlike the big budget ones in comparison to what it is now that started with fast and furious 5 and he has seemingly gotten a big ego and head since then.
@@ogome2927 thats so crazy to me. his film career is so mid so having a big ego for working as Tan Shorts with his costar Short Loudguy for 30 movies makes way less sense than having a huge ego when youre buff and cool and uber popular for that.
@@ogome2927to add to that the movie that was being filmed at the same time of this show Keyan mentioned “The Game Plan” was the last time Dwayne Johnson was ever credited as “The Rock”, every film afterwards he was credited by his name not his wrestling title

Oh what does he do on twitch
I’m really glad you mentioned the appropriation of AAVE these days
3:50 WHY IS THE TURKISH NATIONAL ANTHEM PLAYING I CANT 🤣
"You trusted me and I took advantage of you" (allegedly) fucking got me.
Loved to hear from the creators firsthand, really well done! I was surprised by how much care was put into this show
I knew the Li-berry was from a Disney show! I convinced myself I had made it up 😅
Also, no way! The episode where the President's daughter is being bullied for the bike being the same episode as the one w the stress dessert is wild. That's the most vivid episode in my memory, probably cause it's so stressful between the bullying and the rushed baking that was followed by panic.
I love your videos Keyan. The effort you put in is so appreciated. Thank you for making these deep dives/revisits and breakdowns.
The robot one is stuck in my head.
I used to say "Li-Berry" instead of library a fair bit, in the voice of the Li-Berry guy
The sections with the creators were so interesting to listen to! they seem so lovely!
I can't get my head around the fact that when I was a kid I watched the cool-kids content and tried to keep up with what the cool kids were watching, and yet the people who made it were further, demographic wise, from kids than I (a kid) was!
Also minor nitpicking. But the dog you said was a beagle was actually a Bassett hound
You unlocked some memories of this show:
- The intro I already knew
- The DDR rip off dance battle on the plane
- I'm the... President of the United States
- America's angel! THAT'S WHAT THEY CALL ME
Sophie's doll you see at various points of the video but specifically for reference at 23:36 I believe is american girl jly* #26 and the blue dress she's wearing at this point is the american girl ballet recital dress
*the name of the line has changed various times over the years (girl of today, just like you, truly me. Its all the same thing) but the number stays the same
If only resolving the Israel and Palestine conflict was as easy as making them all laugh at someone ripping their pants.
yeah
“Conflict” = 75 years of ethnic cleansing lmfaooo
Holy hell, Keyan’s cooking and we are all FEASTING
The actress playing President Martinez's Personal Assistant, Samantha, was also the photographer in Hannah Montana (the pimple billboard episode, the raspberry perfume episode in S1, carrot episode in season 3), who was obsessed with Hannah's father for one episode. Between her appearances as the photographer (S1 & S3), Hannah Montana had President Martinez and Sophie as crossover characters (S2), (and Samantha was absent).
What if... She is absent because she is aware Hannah would recognise her as famous celebrity photographer Liza No Last Name? 🤔
Idk man it's 5 am, i can't sleep, i just recently rewatched early hannah montana and i found this a little funny
as someone who has never seen cory in the house, doesn't know anything about cory in the house, and will probably never watch cory in the house yet i've always known of the show's existence, i was definitely caught of guard to find that the house wasn't just *a* house but actually *the* house. you learn something new everyday
Loved this video so much since you can see how much the people working on the show loved it
Do KC Undercover because those are also your initials and I can see a lot of superspy skits or pun potential there.
I find it even funnier that in Raven's Home they even don't want to talk about Cory in the House. I think it even implies Victor and Cory get kicked out of the White House before Martinez's term even finishes lol.
Keyan is just giving us banger after banger
The answer to why Cory lives in the White House being "idk we thought it was funny"
Entertaining and hilarious video as usual. It would be great if you could make a deep dive of Good Luck Charlie. In my opinion, it's one of Disney's bests.
8:33 That is not a beagle. That is a basset hound.
nerd alert
(jk i appreciate your wisdom)
It's a "beagle or basset" if you're me. You also get a "greyhound or whippet" haha
I had to be so clicked when I read the title across my screen: I appreciate your craft Bro
I was at work all day and I get home to a new Keyan video. Love it.
Your channel kills me because you have a bunch of multi hour long videos that interest me so bad but I can never finish all of them for some reason. Waaaah
try warching them by speeding it up? maybe that helps, i love experiencing them full time, but i know not everyone has the time or attention span for it
Watch part by part, one section at a time and then you get to finish it, or doing chores while having the videos as background noise might bez helpful.
How dare you did this before that so raven lool
