OMG the lashes have finally been curled!! I always wondered about this step for you. My tips: look down to capture the lashes, then you can look up while squeezing. Repeat 2-3 times. I wouldn't suggest a wiggle, and I only curl BEFORE mascara! to me, if the lashes are stiff with mascara, there is a higher chance to break some off! Loved the look 💗
I love this so much! Also Lan, I hate to break it to you, but with age you will begin to stare at many a body part and state “ they aren’t as lifted as they used to be” 😢😜
for the eyelash curler i squeeze and release the curler a few times on each lash. that way it doesn't leave a crease but i can curl the full lash. it's hard to explain but i hope that helps. I also was not a believer because one squeeze and hold of the curler would not make a noticeable difference, but when i started squeezing and releasing and curling at multiple lengths i started seeing a HUGE difference.
Another paler look, us lighter skinned girls are lucky these past few weeks, thank you!! Your enthusiasm about your experience with her is was really enjoyable to watch, thank you for sharing 💚
So many good tips here! This reminds me of my makeup for my wedding, my artist took forever pushing product into my face but it stayed on fabulously. Also, you’d be horrified to know that I warm my eyelash curler up with my hair dryer before curling mine! I’m obsessed with lifted lashes okay, lol!!
Good tip about patting on cream if/where you need it. When I worked for Bobbi Brown, she was really big on using balm or face oil patted over finished makeup and it always created the most gorgeous, glowy skin.
I've been curling my lashes for years and also do three pumps of the curler at the base and then one more pump about halfway down the lashes. Always makes a huge difference and also just makes sure they stay out of my actual eye.
14:58 If it was the silver in the bottom left of the photo, it is from the palette: *Christian Dior 5 Couleurs Eyeshadow Palette - 079 Black Bow Women Eye Shadow 0.21 oz*
As you get older applying your foundation, cream, makeup with your fingers by pressing into the skin it applies beautifully flawless I’ve been using this method for years the best way for me.❤
Same. My lashes have started dropping the closer I get to 40 and I've started curling them for special occasions. It really does make a difference in pictures.
I’m squirming watching you curl your lashes cause I feel you here! I usually skip that step on me because it does feel like I may permanently damage my lashes which I know sounds ridiculous. Love everyday May!
I curl my lashes everyday, but rarely wear mascara. It just makes me look/feel a little more awake & alive! I’ve never really thought about what I’m doing when I’m doing it & your commentary has me questioning if there is a correct way to do it 😅
9:29 Dermatologists recommend adding oil to your skin, particularly jojoba or meadowfoam which have molecules small enough to penetrate the skin. It hides the flakes until they can come off on their own because rubbing only makes it worse. It works, like magic. Use oil first before moisturizer. At night, apply hyaluronic acid, oil, then slug with petrolatum.
You are doing amazing sweetie!! Haha! I cannot live without an eyelash curler, I do it before putting mascara, 1 or 2 swirls per eye and that’s it. Used to do it after mascara but then the mascara will flake off 🙅🏽♀️. No bueno.
Yayyy!!! This is my favorite kind of video lately, I love how you do your make up, dress up, the hole vibe of your content lately is so elegant and sophisticated yet looks effortless. Shows how much you learn in those trips and we fully appreciate you passing the secrets to us!! 🩵🩵 i felt really nostalgic remembering that I’m watching you since college and the charlotte tilbury bronze duo was so extra for you, you even use it for you grad cause it was such a luxury to use it and now trips with Dior 🥹 you inspired me a lot all these years!!! Can’t wait to see what’s next and keep going with this fam, love you!!
This was so interesting! I love hearing about professional techniques and her approach sounds so cool! I love how the look turned out, especially the skin
Seems like working off of a palette also ends up being more hygienic. With the concealer for example, the doe foot applicator never touches the skin. Also your freckles peaking through the makeup really elevates this.
This was so interesting to watch, especially the base. I love learning new techniques and tutorials so much! There’s always more to learn from the pros and I want to know allllll the tips and tricks and secrets they have. Thank you for sharing all this with us! Now I just need your youthful bouncy skin 🎉
the foundation and base techniques, I can't wait to try the next time I have some sort of event. Thank you for sharing Lan, loving this classy lady #everydaymay big thank you from Spain
This look is so soft and classy, I adore it! I really loved the mixology part 😂🧡💛🤎 it really gives natural look and I am so here for it. Although I am with you on the last curling, I am afraid I will curl my eyeball out 😖
9:52 I've noticed many European makeup artists regularly add moisturizer and or hyaluronic acid serum/moisturizer/spray both before AND after makeup application.
I learned a new trick for lashes in lieu of curling. Hit them with the cool shot from a hair dryer! Works amazing. Also, I just discovered Seint makeup and can’t help but think you would love it. It’s amazing for dry skin! I packed up all my other makeup. Loved your last blog from Eden Roc! So beautiful there 🫶🪷
This look is so beautiful on you. I love the simplicity of each step. I've decided to stop wearing heavy foundation, just a concealer and the MERIT stick, my skin seems to love it. My skin is so dry, the full face foundation situation made my skin look yucky lol. The way you did your foundation makes so much sense to me, only where you need it. Absolutely enjoyed this video, was rooting for you with the lash curler, it's terrifying 😮😅, especially the first time. I can't wait to watch the next season of Emily In Paris, binge watched the first season one night 😅😅.
I can only imagine how somewhat disappointed you were not like recording the session to fully remember it but good on your for just embracing the moment :)
Eek I just used the La Mer skin prep , I got as a set sample and I think it’s making me fall in love with it ❤.. but ugh the price on it .. but was so happy to get it and try it out .. can’t wait for tomorrow to try out the nude stix sets I picked up and try yours out ❤ I am excited ..
I definitely want to try applying products with a lighter hand. I really need new makeup brushes…I’ve had mine for the last 4 years and they are shedding badly and I’m sick of pulling brush hairs off my face. Would love to replace all of them…but the main ones are my foundation brush and my bronzer/blush brush. I’d love a video on your most used and fav brushes.
I embarked on the lash curler journey for the first day of Spring. And ordered me the Shiseido lash curler during the Sephora sale. Won’t lie…I was pressing and holding my lashes with no actual view of a curl 😂
This is such a nice look! Will be recreating for a work event this weekend! Thank you for sharing your experience and tips! (I also never curl my lashes but I will do it this weekend in honour of Aurélie lol)
The eyelash curler brands differ in shape and size and one might fit better than another. The shu Uemera and Kevyn sucking ones might be a better fit for you.
As always you look amazing. Every look you do looks amazing I don't think you could look bad even if you tried. I've never gotten my makeup done professionally before I would love to get it done at least once but I doubt that will ever happen.

I have the most tragically straight eyelashes, so been curling mine forever. Never not.
I definitely want to try applying products with a
lighter hand.
Wish you'd learn to appreciate and enjoy the natural shade of your skin instead of dismissing or acting like its ugly or unappealing
I embarked on the lash curler journey for the first day of Spring. And ordered me the Shiseido lash curler during the Sephora sale. Won’t lie…I was pressing and holding my lashes with no actual view of a curl 😂
Such a lovely look. I also love that top!

Totally agree with what you said about warming up your base. We are defo shade twins (pale as death) 😂
As always you look amazing. Every look you do looks amazing I don't think you could look bad even if you tried. I've never gotten my makeup done professionally before I would love to get it done at least once but I doubt that will ever happen.
Tip: Do yourself a favor and get the Rephr eyelash curler! You won’t pinch yourself!
Absolutely gorgeous!🥰
