one of peggy’s sayings is “never loop it and leave it” bro sticks to that code to a tee , im glad other people are recognizing . so much of hip hop is a looping beat with no progression(carti, lil uzi, drake)
isn't that a defining aspect of the genre? i always tough that's just what normal rap is, at least a large part of it. Either way, i know nothing about rap so im probably just wrong
@@ZOZOYOYO69 I watched a youtube video when summarised it basically said drake is the Amazon of rap currently, meaning he is looked at by outsiders so see what the hype about and what they can take for enjoyment because of how he is in literally every pocket of commercial rap. Now you are a perfect example of why people don’t like the style of Drakes(and others) ‘loop and leave it’ because it literally takes away a key point that makes rap enjoyable which is progression. if it’s not lyrically it’s instrumentally, maybe vocals point being there is growth within the song which makes it great.
Yo I fw how open minded you seem to be. It’s surprising that you gravitated towards the rock stuff more than some other tracks, it’s usually the other way around with reactors. You seem to like production a lot so another album of his I recommend is The Ghost Pop Tape, it’s very production heavy
@@stwish3910 appreciate it bro, i take the craft of building a music taste that’s versatile too seriously. i hate when people say they listen to everything but they really don’t. at the end of the day if it’s good music it’s hard to discredit yk. and which side of the Tape the remastered or original cause 2hrs is a lil brazy💀
@@affagoto The original! He was for some reason having issues trying to release them separately so he had to combine the two lol. The remaster diminished the album more than it did help it.
Great reaction bro, it’s crazy how u said u diddnt fw scaring the hoes ( which is reasonable with how crazy that album is) and u was coming in with low expectations just for u to like this one that much. Keep grinding bro I’m def subscribing and will be back for ur next reactions. I recommend u react to scaring the hoes dlc, it’s only 4 tracks 15 mins long and I think u would fw it.
@@cartussi6378 much love bro it’s always nice seeing they are people on the internet that actually go outside yk😂, but nah appreciate the uplifting words and i think you right (i lowkey forgot how a single track sounds so it’s gonna be a fresh/neutral listen) imma jump on that (pause)
@@affagoto honestly you could get away with hitting shuffle on his discography lol, even his "worst" songs are still enjoyable for a first listen. But if I'm suggesting albums I'd say his most recent album "Horse" or one of his older ones "Liability", they both have a good spread of flows, faster songs, slower songs, hype songs, deep tracks, good features on both too. It's hard to recommend just a couple songs or albums, I don't think I've listened to an album from him without enjoying most of it, and I'm only glazing a little when I say that 😅

u might like OFFLINE! it's way more laid back and hiphop focused but still off the wall
this right here
It really is painful how short "on or off the drugs is". As much as I like this album, THIS song is untouchable.
life changing
being short makes it good
bro was so in disbelief after i recovered from this the video jus ended 😭
The sample on new black history was covered in money by future
Also sampled by Vince staples on senorita
