I love how Apollo and Farouk retrieve their "dishes" for you and I am sure Bella will be doing the same in no time. She is very smart and likes her humans, so will want to make you happy. It sounds like it will be a wet day, so Apollo & Bella will be making good use of the field shelter. It was nice to see Steve back for the next big lockdown. We are undergoing more severe restrictions also as COVID 19 numbers increase. I hope that people cooperate and our numbers go down again. We did so well over the summer, and then they slowly started to creep up as kids went back to school and they opened things up. People were tired of the restrictions, and got complacent, I guess. Plus our "Thanksgiving" was in early October, so there were family gatherings that probably didn't help. Good to see you and Farouk out at an event again. I am glad that Farouk's feet are recovered enough to do a fun hunt. Hopefully, the "great escape" didn't result in any traumas that you will have to work out with him. I look forward to seeing how the rest of this goes.
I love how you talk to your horses..."I'm going to go now". 😊 My momma said she asked her dog, Remus, "are you going to come with me? I'm going to feed up first, then going to Libby's [my sister]" ...just like a human! Remus, of course, did go with momma. They weren't there long before he jumped in momma's lap and put his nose in her face, "ok Remus, we're going home!" I don't know if momma can understand dog language, or if Remus can understand human language...whatever the case, they communicate very well! 🤣

Farouk & Bella are so much alike & Apollo is picking up some habits from Farouk. Maybe 🤔 Bella not sure on that one. Apollo looks like he has been rolling around in the mud, you can see it on his beautiful black coat when you were putting Apollo in the horse box Tara😊 Farouk’s got a loud neigh saying “don’t leave me behind mum, I want to go with Apollo & Bella to the big field as well.”😁 Farouk doesn’t realise he is going on an exciting riding adventure with his mum.🥰🌹🌷
Hi Tara, The day for your event looks dry which I am sure is better than rain. I think the decision in Canada on whether a place is a city, town or village is based on population. As Toronto grew larger and larger and absorbed the areas surrounding it it became the Greater Toronto Area ( GTA) but people always said they lived in West Hill or Agincourt even tho officially they were part of the GTA. I bet after a two week layoff Farouk is more than ready for some exercise. I hope you both enjoy the event. Take care.
I lived in Toronto all my life commuting thru the traffic during my career. Now we have retired 2.5 hours north of Toronto and don't miss the big city at all. Try to come to the lake areas of the Kawarthas or Muskoka. Beautiful country.
Yes something about the trailer that makes them poop so anyone with horses that are constipated or collicking walk them to the horse box/trailer in and out till they go. Farouk is such a quiet patient boy it's strange he took off after several hundred times same routine at all the meetings , it must have been a big scary bird flying across his sight or a very loud engine going down the lane they have better hearing than us being a prey animal so whatever it was that scared him we will never know maybe it was the elusive bodmin beast. There are one or two big cats kept as pets in the past two to three decades no one has caught yet. Another full lockdown again keep safe Tara Rens and Steve, it must be horrendous for those who live alone and with no kids around to check on them.😯

The house is ready for winter! I think you’re right Bella is teaching the horses to be more vocal and snorty. She’s had her hooves done, is in good condition with natural exercise and light training her balance would have improved her walk.👍 She must have been so miserable with the skin problem she had at the breeders. No bucking for joy there!

Once I lived in England for one year, in Hambleden in a countryhouse to look after two boys.
Farouk is liking that brushing him getting him fixed up for that trail ride thats a pretty orange halter on Farouk
