- Hello, Welcome & great to see you here.
Every now and then, my family & extended family from Singapore & Malaysia would meet up quite often for get-togethers, birthday celebrations, family event.
And for this episode, I decide to throw-in a small gathering in congestion with my kid's birthday. Never been here before to try out the dinner buffet, heard the reviews & comments were pretty good so I had to come and try out for myself. So how will it turn out? Only one way to find out so feel free to tag along.
Just to take the time, for a short intro about myself, I'm JT and welcome to my channel. This channel is about travel, culture, food & family fun. Currently most of the travels would be in Malaysia( mainly in Johor Bahru)& sometimes in Singapore as well but I will be covering the various and different states every now and then. And as for food, I am a foodie so basically as long there is tasty food, good spots or hidden places, I will try my best to cover them for you guys.

My family and I stayed here for a night. The food here was pretty good and service was amazing. Overall a good place for short getaway trip.
To be honest, the hotel is pretty good. There has to be a certain level of service excellence, I suppose. No doubt many returning customers, especially from across the causeway. Thank for the support again.
Have not try DoubleTree buffet yet. Tried Renaissance's buffet spread 3 years ago --> Good. But, hope they still maintain their standards.
Actually I have Renaissance's buffet vlog which i never release before. Taken back probably a month back. The standard are a pretty similar but slight difference. But just my opinion, Renaissance has a better variety and range in western cuisine , DT's strength in their cakes & dessert. Overall , both places provide food quality buffets.

How safe is JB?
KUROMA Japanese is on another level , no doubt..... Makan Kitchen & Cafe BLD Renaissance are equally good.....Good buffet experience at both places.... Johor Bahru is a relatively safe.... Like everywhere you go, always practice cautious and common sense....
This is good place for buffet.. I don't know if it's the best but one of the best in JB. Durian cake looks tasty.
Well, it's a good option. I do have to agree with you. There are few places in JB that there are few places that come pretty close as well. Haha!.. Who doesn't love durian.. Cheers mate!

Hmm, this is a tough call, both places have its own merits.... I still have another place as well.. I think if i can choice one , I opt for the Kurama buffer.

Well, it's a 5 stars hotel, outstanding service.. and quite a lot of Singaporeans & Malaysians like it here. Sometimes, you want nice stuff, just have to pay for it. Cheers mate!
