Holy shit, I missed this last year. lololo I just added a Lynx to my fleet of 2. OldTown 120 Auto and Hobie Lynx. The 2 extremes. What a great first shot of her. She's showing off. Wow Nick What a beauty... what a catch. Nick, what a beautiful fish. Can't believe I didn't see this last year. Thanks man the perfect way for me to celebrate buying a Lynx today.
@@NavarreKayakFishing I got the H rails now I"m thinking I should not have bothered. Also wasted money on the Double header paddle holder. What a POS. Any way. I ordered your little plug things. Think I'm going to strip everything off that I've added and start over. Remove rails. Use the shit paddle holder and grab handle. Then I need a cup holder for my thermos. Rod Holder, Tool holder. Another cup holder or something for my phone which I use a lot on the water for pics and also for MyTracks GPS App. I've been scouring your vids to see what all you're using and where. Keep up the good work.
Amazing catch! Your videos talked me into buying a lynx, I have it a few weeks now, my first kyaka and I'm absolutely blown away by it, Iv Use it mainly on the Shannon River in Ireland for pike and its opened up a whole new world of fishing, again congrats on that fish, love the channel 👍
When Hobie sees this footage they’re gonna elect you president of the fan boys. J/k bro. Congratulations! That was truly a beautiful catch and release 👏 Probably a first from the Lynx too 👀
@@NavarreKayakFishing yeah. I clicked on the video to see your setup. I’m trying to get my Lynx set up perfectly for inshore fishing. First thing I noticed was the bixpy remote and saw the motor on the side. Cant wait to see that video.
@@NavarreKayakFishing Still waiting for your thoughts about the Bixpy and trolling in general. I made a side-mount transom mount for my trolling motors but keeping the prop close to the surface for shallow-water causes ventilation (sucking air in from the surface), many folks call it cavitation; Do you have any interest in making a bolt-on cavitation/ventilation plate for small trolling motors like the Watersnake, Torqeedo, Minn Kota, Newport Vessels shafts?
Congrats Nick! A lot of people say things are "epic" and they say it way too much! THAT was truly epic!!! Congrats and that Lynx sure does take care of all kinds of business!!! --Brent
I caught sails down in Mexico and know how exciting it is but not from a kayak. Congratulations on a beautiful fish Nick and also the care you show on the release!!! Doc
That hull sounds loud compared to the older, and heavier plastics. Have you noticed any spooking of fish in the shallower areas in chop compared to the Old Towns? Love your channel. Thx
The mic does make it sound extremely loud.l and it is a bit louder then the Outback and PA but it’s not bad at all. I don’t notice it until I edit the videos.
Hello Nick Thanks for producing this video! I truly enjoyed the challenge of watching you land it. I went on one of you charters back around Memorial Day and had a great time. Jamie was along for training. I am wanting to go again next year. Thanks Tim
September tends the next the best month. However, it’s truly unpredictable and sometimes they fail to show up. Hurricane season often ruins the weather window.
Nice catch! Did you make that bracket for your Bixpy? Im looking at getting a Lynx too. Been watching your videos about it and waiting to see if you will (ever lol) test it on 3-4ft swells offshore or maybe lynx is just for flat water, not made for offshore
We did. That’s just the prototype. It will be available eventually just need to make a few minor adjustments. If we have 3-4’ swells it’s blowing 25mph and the internal is 4-6 seconds. We don’t get 3-4’ with 12 seconds intervals but it will handle it without issues.
I may have caught two blackfin on a single trip but I would trade that morning on the water for a sail! That is such a cool fish. I had a 9.5' sail mount that my dad caught in Mexico and always wanted to reel one in myself.
@@NavarreKayakFishing noooo but I was heading out for trigger that day and never made it past the 3/4 mile mark when I caught the first and on the peddle back to the beach because I was not prepared for a fish of that size I caught the second.

My dream is to catch one in my yak ( hence my screen name haha ) . We're was this fish caught ? How deep a water ? What times of year are sailfish around ur area ? And how much would u charge me to go catch a sail in my own yak ? Congrats man !

Have you caught a Sailfish from the kayak?
Yep! its been a while (2017) but I can't wait to get another some day! Awesome fish man!
Thanks for watching, buddy. I hope you’re doing well.
Caught a couple of Mermaids down by the Equator, no Sailfish though. Someday. :)
Caught one in Miami. Most fun sleigh ride I’ve had in a kayak
Oh wow, it really is ocean worthy, but that hull slap truly SLAPS! Nice video.
It’s not that loud. The GoPro is right next to the spot the water hits.
Wow wow wow wow wow
Wow, what a massive Sail for any size sportfish yacht, much less a little Hobie Lynx! Way to go, brotha!!!
That’s outstanding. Thanks Nick. I now have the courage to go out fishing sturgeon in my PDL 120.
Thanks for watching, Todd. Good luck chasing Sturgeon.
bucket list item.. gulf looking really good..
Come across this in youtube. Pretty sick bro congrats
Hey man thanks for watching.
I loved everything about this video... thanks for sharing! Sailfish via a kayak is definitely on my bucket list. Congrats

I’ve been waiting on this video. Nice work bro.

Probably one of the cooler catches just pitching a bait to a sail out a kayak - No never caught one period, love to out the yak.
It’s a blast, Jake. Watching them swat at bait on the surface is an anything experience
Nice sailfish and video !!!
Thanks, Pablo.
That was Great..!!!
Thanks for watching, Noel.
Good catch buddy! Great video
Thanks, Seth.
Very nice.. that’s a bucket list fish for me…
I think it should be a bucket list fish for everyone.
Dude,… hahaha, you are a trip. Grats man!,.. that was awesome
Good times.
Live cigar minnow best for Navarre sailfish? Fish it on the bottom?
Cigar Minnow will get the job done but I would free line it or troll it on the surface.
Badass bro !! Nice catch. Makes me want to get out there in my Hobie Lynx Mirage kayak
Thanks for watching, Roy. It’s always a cool experience to catch a Sailfish in the kayak.
The excitement in your voice the entire time is what its all about!!!!

Wow Nick. Congrats! Not many people can say they got a few of them. But you got one from a Lynx. Well done sir.
The Lynx crushed it. Thanks for watching!
Is that a power unit I can see on your left side?
It is. More information to come on it.
One of the most exciting kayak fishing videos I’ve seen. I’m very happy for you. That’s just flat awesome!
Thanks for watching!!!
Just WOW 🙌
Hey Nick great video. Sounds like the Hull slap of an aluminum boat on that yak.
It’s not nearly as loud in person. The GoPro is mounted right next to the area the water hits.
If hobie ain’t paying this man for selling the hobie lynx to folks that are on the fence about getting one…….. jeez what a catch. Subscribed for sure.
That’s one of the coolest fish you can land from a kayak. Well done bro
Thanks, buddy.
I need the bixpy adapter! Will it be up for sale?
We never started producing them.
you are crazy :D, I can't decide between a lynx and compass :(
Similar situation, but I put my deposit down on lynx. April arrival.

OMG that is outstanding!!! What a fish! Btw, that Lynx didn’t even move when you hefted that thing aboard.
I think we covered how stable it was in the other videos. Lifting the fish should verify it haha

Zero issues. The microphone is pretty good on the GoPro and it’s right next to where the water hits.

The mic does make it sound extremely loud.l and it is a bit louder then the Outback and PA but it’s not bad at all. I don’t notice it until I edit the videos.
Excellent catch.. what is a conservative weight estimate of the sailfish? It appeared to 7 ft long?
Awesome!!! Very informative too regarding the color and revival. Congrats! Catch anything else lately ? 😁

1/2 mile. 45’ of water. But they show up anywhere from 30-70’. Right place right time.

Never. That’s a gorgeous fish that years to get that large. I rather catch it again next year and let it reproduce.

Of course. Won’t be any left if we kill them all.
Why Hobie lynx raise up the price from $2,600 to $ 3,300 ???????????
