this is what a Lego Technic model should look like, I see gaps but those gaps are where the body gaps are on the real car, I want Lego to make this into a set, it would look nice by the 24hr car they already released, I would love to have an old LeMans car on the same shelf as a new one

Thumbs up! Wonderful. I so much liked the rear suspension! The only thing I disliked is the use of gold metallic colors, I think that silver or grey metallic might have been closer to the original. Anyway fantastic job as always. Chrome city is awesome too. Many thanks! :-)
But these parts are gold-colored in the real car, so why silver?

Thank you so much for finally finishing this one. The Porsche 917 k is my altime most favorite car in the entire world. Someday, I hope to get one in real life. (A kit car version of course, a real one costs millions and millions of dollars.) And paint it in the number 23 red paintjob. Someday.
