as long oilers can prevent shots at skinner than they could be good.
Most likely if oilers don't play pickard, they will lose because I doubt they will be able to restrict the amount of shots like they did in the last 2 games vs the nucks.
Most likely dallas with their offensive powerhouse will beat the oilers due to them getting more than 20+ shots against AHL skinner.

I think the Oilers have something special brewing. My hope is that McDavid's lingering injury eases up a little and lets him get back to his goal scoring ways. Not for nothing that he got 100 assists this year, but if he was dealing with an injury that would explain why he prefers to pass right now. All that aside, the Oilers defense deserves a lot of credit, keeping them in games that they had to right to be in, and protecting leads like no version of this squad has in the McDavid era. The special teams are both the best in the playoffs too, which makes the matchup with Dallas all the more interesting. Dallas is so well built and has so many answers, it will be interesting to see who steps up next for Edmonton. It will also be the first time in this playoffs that Edmonton enters a series as the true underdog, which hopefully means they play a lot more like they did in Game 6 and the first two periods of Game 7; hungry, high percentage shooting and scoring, just fast and fun hockey. Let's be honest, Edmonton playing for the cup would be more interesting than any of the alternatives. You know you'd want to watch just a little bit more.

This playoffs has been my favorite in many years. Usually you have your "heavy favorites" but this year I could've saw Dallas, Edmonton, Vancouver, Winnipeg, Vegas, Colorado, Florida, Carolina, NY, Boston...or the Islanders (jk)...all possibly playing for the cup.
I can't wait to see these play out. Dallas vs Florida or Edmonton vs NY would be a great final

If Edmonton beats the Stars I genuinely think they will come into the cup finals as a very intimidating team. But all it really takes is Jake Oettinger to steal the series if he plays well as Bobrovsky did against Tampa. But Dallas has a great team, Edmonton needs to truly step up their game to beat them, and then the Panthers or New York in the finals. I'd love to see the cup go back to Canada but It will not be easy as all these teams are truly unbelievable. This might be the most competitive conference finals on both sides, never seen anything like it, anything could happen.

I say this as an Oilers fan: If McD and Drai were 100% I can see them taking this series to 6 or 7 games, but they aren't and the Oilers depth scoring that's been there during the season hasn't really been there in the playoffs. Foegle & MacLeod namely. Though I think they've played well and most importantly they haven't allowed many GA.
I think the balanced and deep Stars team will even out against Oilers superstars, and it will come down to goaltending where Dallas has the clear edge. The realistic hockey fan in me says Dallas in 5 (not to say that the Oilers won't make them work for it) but I'd love Oilers in 7. The hockey world needs to see McDavid in the Cup Final.

east conference always has better teams. It just depends on how bad the eastern conf beats each other up for the west conference to win the cup tbh.

@@anonymous134ythat’s just wrong. In 2022 for example Colorado would’ve absolutely smashed any team in the East. The problem I see for most Eastern teams is that they live and die by goaltending. If Shesty goes cold or Bob decides to shit the bed again like he didn’t in last years finals I see an easy win for whoever comes out of the West, Edmonton and Dallas both have offense that the Rangers and Panthers can’t match.
