Climate change is real issue
USA also has very cold parts. Climate change has been happening since it existed. The rate of climate change decides how many species can adapt and how many will go extinct. If it changes too much too fast, then almost everybody will be dead. If it changes very slowly, then most species will be able to evolve.
Some species are more sensitive to changes while some can survive variations as large as 100C and from desert to tropical humidity. For example, some plants grow at a specific, temperature, altitude, and humidity. Like asafoetida, saffron, cocoa, etc. Some orchids can't even survive a 0.5C change in temperature. If climate changes too fast, then it will threaten food and water security and it can scale down human civilization back to thousands of years with most of the people dead.

But yet we keep it moving
I moved from Eagan, Minnesota to San Antonio, TX a month ago. Minnesota followed me.
The difference the houses are not built for that in the south as we rarely get winter weather. In the last 45 years in louisiana i think it has snowed maybe 9 or 10 times, 1 year had 2 of those times, and about 10 years ago another 2, and about 2 years ago 3 times in same year, the rest were singles which were like 2 or 3 separate years. Our states and local gov have none of the equipment for the roads for winter storms like that, Pipes and faucets are always a problem when it freezes, as faucets up north in places that freeze regularly have the valves in the wall not outside the house, so if a faucet isnt covered in the south in a hard freeze it will burst. Houses off the ground dont have insulated pipes usually, and often they burst. and usually if it does snow and freeze here, it was usually mixed with rain and so roads are solid ice not snow.

Here in Southern Ontario Canada. Snow started about 8:00 pm EST. Its a blizzard. Even for Canada I haven't seen this much snow in years. Still have our power thank God.
💖💢
The title is misleading. It's the first the "entire" state at one time as been under winter storm warning. However, winter storm warnings happen yearly all over the state but in smaller geographical areas. The state is huge and therefore, it could be snowing in one part of the state and sunny and warm in another part.
if the south eastern part is under winter storm warning then the entire state is same as in louisiana. The winter storm war ing doesnt mean snow over entire state just ice in general which can be from rain.
Since when is the title NOT misleading? It’s a news channel.
no say it isnt so a news channel misleading people? no way!
It's the news they never do the hob right

Welcome to your free 7 day trial of winter in Michigan ❄️❄️❄️
😂😂😂😂
Michigan has snow plows. Texas, not so much.
Right on...
A crash-course in driving in icy/snowy conditions. If you must drive, go slowly, break gently and early, and don't multitask.
Oh my gawd it's so HOT here in Texas!!! It must be 78! Oh it's so hot! says first time Michigander.
“Without power” makes it sound like a transformer is broken and people haven’t fixed it. I live in Houston. Power is being kept from us. People are freezing, people are dying, and energy companies are flipping switches to shut it off because we might use too much. We’ve been without for 3 days now. While a neighbor down the street has his Christmas lights on. Not to mention car dealerships with flood lights to protect their precious vehicles while we have some with infants fighting to stay alive!
Truth.
I’m in Round Rock.
No power or water for going on 3 days now.
Collin County can't bother opening up warming stations, even though Dallas, Tarrant, and Denton counties have. A few churches with power have opened their doors. They let us fend for ourselves during this pandemic too, zero leadership besides handing out fines to businesses trying to enforce any CDC protocol. Once this current hell is over, I hope people remember how they left us out in the cold when it's time to vote!
I live in Alaska so welcome to my season.
how come people can survive in Alaska with power food during storms etc but Texans cant? with the winter storm
Also in Alaska, although we’ve had an extremely mild winter this season..
@@klsounds Alaska's entire infrastructure is designed around the fact that it gets so cold up there. Texas isn't built for that, their road teams aren't prepped and ready to go like Alaska's are. .

Yes!!! Thank goodness for fireplaces.
Well.... until you run out of wood. That's our story... thankfully my sister had power, so we came to her place.

Grew up in WV and everyone had a wood stove and still does. My fiancé and I always joke and say if things get crazy we’re going back to WV to my father’s bc he has plenty of canned vegetables from his garden and a guaranteed warm house if the power goes out 😂

It's real. You just can't change it.
@@MrMckenzie2403 we have been changing it though??? Y'know all that carbon dioxide that many studies have proven to cause what we called global warming? I mean that's way too many independent studies confirming the same thing it's like saying 20 years ago the earth was flat when even the ancient greeks knew it wasn't

That’s because it actually does snow in Texas every once in a while but people who aren’t from there are acting like it’s unheard of and is due to climate change
