wow. i study in berlin and this pretty much explained GI embryology in 8 min that i was trying to understand for over an hour on my own. thank you so much for the practical model!!!
Great demonstration I remeber first time seeing the video on 2020 , and i still watch it every time and then to refresh my memory Truely the best demonstartion on youtube regarding peritoneal development and intestinal emberyology
this is amazing! i am in medical school in USA and now I wish I can get my medical eduction at Leiden University because this teacher is so thoughtful and thorough to explain with 3D model and also clinical correlations !!!
Amazing way to explain the rotation of gut, i would like you to add in this model to show the midgut rotates inside the umbilical cord (1st rotation), and about its growth outside into small intestines
Hello.dr , I hope you can help me i had a question . my son was born with intestine malrotation , he underwent surgery when he was 2 days old and he underwent surgery for the second time when he was 8 months old . i know he probably got it again many times. can dr stop intestine malrotation from happening again. can dr fix intestine malrotation like normal people ?
How can a the colon ascendens and colon descendes which both are retroparitenal have a meson? Is it not so that only the intraparitenal strucutres like colon transversus has a meso !?
Please see the 'Read more' section 'Why is it named 'retroperitoneal'? at the bottom of www.anatomytool.org/content/secondary-retroperitoneal that refers to the article 'The mesocolon,....' by Culligan, 2014. Whether the ascending and descending mesocolon still exist (or should be named as such) postnatally is a matter of debate. Traditionally anatomically: no; but surgically they can be easily mobilised and this is daily practice in colonic surgery. I hope this helps!
Hello, these videos are very useful and I want my friends who don't speak English to be able to understand them, is it okay for me to share this video with subtitles on my own youtube account? I tried adding subtitles to this video on your channel but since "community contrubition" is not allowed on your channel I wasn't able to add subtitles to the video itself. Also, thank you very much for these awesome videos.
