Jesus Christ is The Son Of God.
Which makes Him a God too because His Father is a God.
He is like God in everyway, just like any son is like his father.
Jesus Christ is how we talk to The Father because He is where The Father is. If we need anything, we ask The Father in His Son's name.
And if The Son recognises us, then He speaks for us and makes sure our needs are met. Jesus is here to smooth things over with The Father.
Think of it this way :
The Old Testament shows us the character of God. That God loves His people but because of their sins, He gets angry with them at times.
The New Testament shows us the character of God's Son. That The Son loved humanity that He gave up His life for it.
Jesus Christ came to calm down God's anger.
He came to give us a way to find ourselves in God's presence again because our sins had defiled us to a point where God couldn't stand the sight of seeing us.
But Jesus Christ died for our sins, so that we can find ourselves in God's presence again.

It was divine, but Trumps a new born; remember the beginnings of our faith, I do, growing in Christ with confidence takes time; remember Paul saying because of his boldness many more feared not to witness? It's a growing process to become bold in Christ. First we must become obedient and faithful to have confidence, if we sin our confidence diminishes! I remember in my young Christian walk I cried many times, I don't understand lord; it's because I kept falling back into sin! But thank God, Jesus, when my Lord after a while spoke to myself why! I got saved reading the word with no discipleship outside the church! It takes a while, we forget, hard to keep the word in mind because busy in the world! But reading over and over again and growing through chastisement we finally get their. Obedient and faithful now: those that seek God, Jesus, early will find them. Jesus wisdom! Many transgressions unto righteousness.
