My mom and sister and I are all knitting and sewing away getting our Rhinebeck outfits together 🎉 We’re going to wool and folk too, LOVE that event! And we’re doing the fancy dinner preview on Thursday so we’re really excited for that! 🥳
By far the best part of any project is picking out the yarn. I pick out like 5 different options then rearrange them a couple of times....Cast on is good too then it can get wicked boring!!!!
You are the one who turned me on to CamiJo! Thank you, I love her podcasts! Your Sari Nordland top and the Max the Knitter had are both beautiful! Congratulations to the winner of the CamiJo yarn!!! 🌸
I love your videos, and one of the main reasons is how you explain which yarns go well with which project, so YES, bring it on!! Would love to know more about how you plan your projects.😊😊
I am like you too...I love the planning for a project more than actually making it...but I do finish projects before I start planning too many new ones. I only have a few wips at a time.
As always, so inspired by the projects and future makes. I will be at Rhinebeck "in spirit" only - but I love how you and Becky are including all of us in your KAL! Okaaaay, and the Schacht Matchless for your Anniversary present is EPIC. That's how we keep a marriage solid haha.
Love seeing all knits. I am making the Corran Cardigan for the Rhinebeck Kal. I am going for the first time. Also going to Wool and Folk. I will definitely say hello if I see you there. I am flying from Idaho to Michigan where I will meet up with my sister. Our plans are to drive the rest of the way. Should be an amazing trip.
Another great podcast love all your projects I bought the pattern for the tessalated vest and am so excited to make it after seeing yours. I too won't be at Rhinebeck but I know that you will share your time there with us. Would love to do your kal but I don't do Instagram that is I don't know how to. You a l ways explain everything so well. Thank you Kaci always look forward each week. 😊
Planning the project is the best part! All the possibilities! All the pretty colors and fiber choices. Should I spin for it or just by the yarn? What kind of fiber? Oh the possibilities! But then, oh the WIPs :-( The Crazy Sock Lady has started doing 30 minutes of knitting on WIPs outside of her project knitting. I think I'm going to try that to keep my WIPs to a manageable amount.
What fun projects you are working on. Like your KAL very much and have a sweater I could make but not on Instagram. I am wondering if you will also have a thread on your Ravelry group?
I have the knitpicks Options interchangeable sets and I was THRILLED when I realized that the Lantern Moon swivel cords worked with them!! They're the only cords I use now.
Kaci -- I think you should consider purposely crossing a sneaky cable somewhere on all your work going forward. Like a signature. Let people find it: the world needs more fun.
would you be willing to sell your ashford? I took my first drop spinning class here in Alexandria, VA and this has literally started a fire in belly for wanting to starting spinning with a wheel.
Somehow this comes off as passive aggressive.. don’t know if that’s the comment or me. But she can knit whatever she wants in her own free time. She’s not obliged to knit for her children.

My favorite part is the planning also! It’s the best. ❤
Love watching you... The planning of a project is the creative part. The knitting is creating it.
True!

Have a wonderful week Kaci!
You too!!
Great video! I totally agree on garment length, I need to decide what I'm going to wear it with most in order to decide!
Exactly!
I know I always say this, but what a great episode! ❤
Aww thank you
I think I need to knit Ranunculus

You got a Matchless! Welcome to the club! I get so excited for anyone who gets a Matchless.
What’s their name?
I'm so excited for you to experience rhinebeck! I went last year and it was so fun. I'll join the KAL and pretend I'm actually going again lol
I wish you were going!
I have the knitpicks Options interchangeable sets and I was THRILLED when I realized that the Lantern Moon swivel cords worked with them!! They're the only cords I use now.
Who is singing that song “dreamer” that you played during your video. Or what song is that.
I'm also wondering this! Did you find out?
I found it! Dream Girl by Big Girl. Enjoy!
So sorry! Yes it’s called dream girl by big girl ❤

I’m not sure just yet. My little girl really wants to learn to spin so I may let her use it. I’ll let you know
@@YoungfolkKnits daw well that would be a neat mother daughter hobby to have together. yes- please do!
Do you ever knit garments for your children? I’ve only seen things you’ve knitted for yourself.
Somehow this comes off as passive aggressive.. don’t know if that’s the comment or me. But she can knit whatever she wants in her own free time. She’s not obliged to knit for her children.
@@sannevanbeers no, I’m just interested in seeing children’s garments , I might want to knit for the children in my life
I do! Not often tho because it’s so warm here they just don’t end up wearing it. I’ll share them sometime tho
@@YoungfolkKnits thank you
I always giggle when she says if this is your cup of tea, subscribe. After she talks she is a farmer with kids. It's not like this is the content lol.
