Love to ride3 with you guys! I am an hour south of St Louis. Have lots of good places to ride. I am the lone guy on a 4 wheeler. Everyone else is on a SXS lol
I live near Gilbert, and I’m still not sure where you guys started at, on day 1, when you winched the quads over the washout. But, I live about 3-4 miles from the little cabin that you ran into. Haha
Here's a video we did a few years ago, the only bike that has changed in Dan's, he has an ArcticCat now, there's a link in the description where he goes over the CanAm in another video. ua-cam.com/video/WcUcoGkszh4/v-deo.html
We are currently using ICOM ID31a's. The real game changer for comms is the Rugged Radio's Headsets. They work with several different radio brands but they have been rock solid. I also use a ICOM ID51a for recording the chatter and later synced in post. Some of the radio audio was recorded directly to a GoPro (just via the mic) as I have another radio mounted right next to the GoPro on the front of my Polaris.
Yes the pelican boxes are bolted to the front rack through the metal bars that run sideways, i also added an additional wire support to the other side to hold the weight when the front rack is open.
So I'm using an older iPad Mini with a LifeProof waterproof case and a RAM mount. I really like the LifeProof case as it's pretty water tight, unfortunately they do not make them anymore or are not making updated ones so I'm stuck on the older iPad. The other guys have switched to a newer Android tablet but the case's are not waterproof. @PDenbigh Do you know the exact models?
