Cool thing about the trivalve pet they can travel in the water and on land. I particularly enjoy the interactions with them on land you can play peekaboo and wave to each other.
It's honestly a shame you couldnt build a pen, and have those little guys produce materials. I remember breeding stalkers, and always had metal salvage laying around my base.
@@Peepsters... but it depends. the sea dragon and the Spoiler alert Sea emperor eggs are smaller. its because the ghost has to mature more in its egg because of its hostile nature and the hostile environment it lives in. if it was a smaller egg and baby ghosts came out it would immediately get eaten where as the say glow whale doesn't have any thing in its environment that could eat it.
I love the playfulness of trivalves but they also freak me out a bit. I know they're aliens but they don't scream cuteness like the cuddlefish. The big eye is just creepy. Like it's watching me all the time.
I currently have -2 Blue Trivalves -Gold Trivalve -Arctic Ray -2 Brinewings -Brute Shark -Titan Holefish -a few other miscellaneous fish that include Noot Fish and Symbiotes and I'm looking to expand my collection to as many as possible, I've even made a second large room to make my aquarium bigger (best 2 plasteel ingots spent)
I love the titan holefish, it's my favorite. Btw the glow whales get really big in the alien containment, I had to stack two fish tanks together so they didn't look crammed.
Tip: breed ur own sea monkeys and place them around your base, you will be constantly barraged with free basic minerals and they don’t really leave too often.
Has anyone else noticed that if you release the hatchlings by your base they'll stay around your base regardless of where they would usually be found. I have a brute shark, and a brinewing by my base, they interact with one another. They don't attack me either. It's kinda cool knowing they recognize me in the wild
Me dude. When I've found the egg at the mining station I was so happy thinking it was the leviatan's egg, when it hatchet and came a Rock Puncher (the crab thing) I've thinked my game had bugged or something and I was sad as hell lol
Also sea monkeys are good let them go outside they bring you good stuff one of my sea monkeys always brings me a diamond so now I'm stealing every sea monkey egg I find to make a army of sea monkeys that bring me loot as soon as I get home from a mission btw the rock puncher attacked my sea monkeys so I killed them and my brute shark wouldn't stop attacking my prawn so I killed it before my prawn was destroyed
the cool thing about the squidshark eggs is that the two eggs that you found are literally the only squidshark eggs that exist naturally, there's only 2 eggs spawned naturally in the world.

When I first found the glow whale egg I was really excited because I thought it looked like the ice worm for some reason. (ice worms are one of my favorite creatures in the game). then when it hatched I was happy atleast it is a glow whale but still pretty sad.
i wish you could put the pengwings in your baase to roam around cuz they need to breathe to they cant stay in the alien containment. i love the squid shark btw

My base is connected to the dock on delta island and since that pretty much on top of the thermal spires that's where I get my resources and I've seen a bunch of cryptosuchus eggs
I'm a little disappointed that more people don't find and hatch the eggs (at least 90% of the people I watch so far). That was one of my favorite parts of the original! Maybe it's because it's not plot relevant and they feel it's "a waste of time" I guess. It's a shame because Subnautica is so beautiful to explore but so far UA-camrs have been rushing through it, partly because of excitement and partly because they played the Early Access all the way through so they just rush past everything. Maybe partly because it's "just Subnautica again" and nothing is new *enough* for them to slow down and take it in. I don't know. I'll buy it myself eventually, and see all of its magnificence in my own time :) And never finish it. Because I'm a scaredy cat!

I realized too late i made a mistake basically if you go to the east and or west arctic you will find icebergs and you can go inside them. And the titan holefish egg is found on the walls inside the icebergs. Hopefully this helped you and I'm sorry for the typo.
So in Subnautica I raised a Crabsquid and released it and every night it would come back to my base area and then take off in the morning so that leaves me to ask: when you hatch and then release creatures do they just hang around and become docile to you?
The crashfish will immediately swim off and explode if you release them from your aquarium. Every other creature I've raised and released will swim about but in the general area you release them.
It would have been half of a mess, ice worms cannot be found else where on the map except when you're on land, meaning that they don't have a real physical appearance underwater and don't have any swimming animations.
