You are a savage runner Matt. As soon as you jumped off the bike you were hunting them down. Amazing. When I compare my 145bpm to your 175bpm, I know I'm not pushing hard enough on the run. Great to see your run stats. I assume your next races will be Boulder, Lake Placid and Kona? You've got a great shot at winning or at the very least doing really well at the Ironman Pro Series. Keep at it.
I was looking at the tracker and was surprised to hear the announcer say that you were in first. You looked strong runner down Riverside PKWY and the chute. It’s amazing that you were able to put together such a strong run after losing your valuable nutrition. Congratulations!!
Thanks for sharing your data on the run. To a novice like myself, your run looks effortless. It puts in perspective just how much effort you're really making to put in a run like that. Exceptional effort, skill and talent. Congratulations and well done!
For the bottle popping out, I have a simple solution that has worked for me and it doesn't require rubber bands. The main issue is the slick surface of the bottle and slick surface of the bottle cage. Get yourself some gritty sand paper. Scrape the bottle horizontally side to side. Make the bottle not slick. Do the same thing in the inside of the bottle cage. The bottle and the bottle cage should be rough after this. With Gorilla cages, since I started doing this, I have not had a bottle pop out. Hope this helps
"When you can run 2:35 off the bike you can critique my run" haha, love it. Great going Matt. I look forward to getting passed by you at Boulder!
Great racing Matt
You too Trevor

Smashed it. 💪👌
great comeback. what about plans for a full ? you re aiming for 3 ?
Hi Matt, try using a long/extra long hair tie instead of rubber. It will be tighter and won't dry rot or snap on you.
2024, not 2014. Time flies!
