- A COOL and SIMPLE IDEA from empty canning banks! Useful do-it-yourself homemade!
In this video, I'll show you how to make an excellent burner out of empty cans, which can come in handy in the garage and workshop, as well as fishing! With its help, you can cook dinner or heat a winter tent.
This is the best and safest way to stay warm in the winter if you're living in a car. Trust me.

NO these are NOT good for inside a car. Too much smoke and Carbon monoxide. These can KILL inside a car. What's better is to use 90+% isopropyl alcohol. Probably cheaper than buying candles, it also produces no smoke and almost no CO

I remember back in the ‘60’s as a Girl Scout making “Buddy burners” out of the big Hawaiian Punch cans that were about 10”-12” tall and about 5”-6” in diameter and a tuna can with the correlated cardboard rolled up inside covered in paraffin. No fancy tools, just an old fashioned bottle/can opener. We used the triangular end to cut 4 holes in the bottom, after removing the bottom of the big can with a manual can opener. We used the bottle opener, triangular end to punch the holes and wrap each of them around the open edge of the can. Then, making 3 holes at the opposite side at the top. Putting the tuna can with the cardboard and paraffin inside after lighting it. We cooked a sausage patty on top, followed by eggs in a hole. (A piece of bread with a hole ripped out of the center and an egg cooked in the hole while toasting the bread.)
We also did this in girl guides! Gave us a ton of skills and survival hacks in those days!

Be VERY careful about heating wax in this way. It can very easily reach flashpoint and ignite. The possibilities of spilling wax into the heat gun is very real. Greetings from Dimboola in Victoria, Australia.

@@TheRainHarvester Just saw your comment. The stuff looks safe, but I worked as a wax casting employee for two years. The sole caster. I learned VERY fast. Different melting and smoke point for every different type. Wax burns are not pretty. Greetings from Dimboola, in Victoria, Australia 🇦🇺

Ok here is my story about buddy burners:
Boy scouts.
1980s.
Camp director has 500 scouts making buddy burners for the big cook off later...
4pm comes. Camp director has microphone and announces, "ok scouts...start your burners!"
Apparently we didn't make them correctly.
Flames everywhere.
Smoke everywhere.
Fires leaking onto picnic tables.
Campsite looks like it's on fire for miles.
Fire trucks come.
Scouts are trying to be heroes jumping on tables to kick out the fires. I take burning wax onto the cheek from a "hero" scout. Thanks Jason! 😂Still have the scar.

В парафине как минимум 8 часов. Но можно будет потом заменить гофру из картона и добавить расплавленного парафина. Дать вторую жизнь "камину"

Нужно иметь третью банку , или крышку , которой накрыть сверху. Снизу из родной крышки банки тоже изготовить "заслонку" , чтобы закрыть нижние дырки. Одним словом- прекратить доступ кислорода

i remember in the late 70 and early 80s we made bunaen burners for outdoor school they worked great id you dont know get a can of crisco or off brand get it warm put a wick in it and a terracata pot over the top it will burn for 72 days at 8 hrs a day for one can and the terracota pot upaide down generates good heat the safest is to out it inside of a deep pan and just have the lid barely vent the top it traps the heat great and actualy works awesome indoor or outdoor just sayn ya never know wen the demo power is going ro go down on us or if they devide to pull a sudden shut down
